Heh. Of course, the main problem with speculating on what an The World can 'do' to a person is that the neural link headsets are the only real piece of unbelievable technology in the series. We don't know what the exact effects of being sucked into The World like Tsukasa will have, and how much actual effect can be made against a person in there...

...after all, once Tsukasa was inside of the game, he proved to be remarkably resistant to actual interference from inside and outside the game. It'll be curious to see if they offer up any more explanation of what Morgana did to him, as that will speak to what we see happening later on in the games and Dusk. Can she actually manipulate Tsu's brain? (And thus by extension, other people who are 'stuck' in The World) or did she simply overload it? Being able to feel pain but not die would probably be extremely traumatic for someone...

If you can reach into someone's skull and, somehow, scoop the data out and drop it into an VR envrionment as a wandering MOB then there's a pretty good chance that you can do quite a lot with the information lurking therein.

Just look at Skeith.

If Skeith has to be Data Drained twice, then was it natural for no "Project Break! Data Drain OK!" to pop up a 2nd time during phases 2-5?

We don't see Skeith dissolve/crumble, but it looks like pieces get thrown into the air when Kubia enters.

Oh, and in response to the bit about being able to manipulate Tsukasa's brain? I think perhaps she can to an extent. But I think she just gives tugs and pushes where they need to be, and Tsukasa does the rest himself. If she really could manipulate his brain more than that, why would she worry so much about losing him? She could just rewrite him as her minion if that were the case. I think there's a definite limit as to what she can do, its just what that is, I'm unsure of.

Using the word 'natural' regarding the Phases is hardly useful. They're all different. I'd need to get specifics from Kite on fighting them and what was needed for that. So far as I know, you needed to protect break all of them.

And yes, we -do- see Skeith dissolve/crumble, I've seen it myself. His body, looking charred and frozen, and as Kite watches, and the landscape changes to a empty plain of rocky ground, Skeith more or less melts into the ground, forming a puddle of goo, which starts to bubble.. and boil.. and then twisted spires raise from the ground, and everything explodes.

And then there's silence.

And Kite looks around warily... and there's nothing...

.. and then a rock falls on his head.

And way above him is Kubiya, looking extremely creepy and scary.

And then Helba is there.

And Kubiya opens his mouth, a great light growing within, like an attack, an then.. BOOM. Kite is blown backwards, Helba fends off the attack, and then he gates away. Helba looks at Kubiya, says his name, and then teleports away.

That's the scene as best as I can describe it right now. I can novelize it later, if you like, but.. Naruto... *stares at Dty's computer* o.o ....

What? Sora is trying to take over Bear's job? Or writing his 'Memoirs of a Phase' novel? ^.^

Still, we can't know what happens to certain to Sora until... well, we find out, really. Volume 4 might shed some answers... then again...

If Skeith somehow DID escape, think he might make a reappearance in Dusk?

But the CC Company CGs are... interesting, yes...

There's something just plain spooky about seeing Sora striking a pose with Skeith's Scepter of Deep Hurting.

Also interesting is how Skeith's staff of deep hurting CHANGES in the different versions - the anime version of his staff is the same as the US version of it, but in the japanese games he's carrying a cross linked by a circle. Odd, no?

You mean that Skeith's scepter was a Celtic Cross in the Japanese game? I had completely missed that, I thought it was the same as the anime..

I thought that it was the illustration that was a little off...

Yep - a Celtic cross in the japanese game, and a split circle with a piece sticking out across the circle on the lower left in both the anime and the american game.

The celtic cross makes his cruciform datadrain attack look a bit more appropriate, which is probably why they changed it. Although I'm guessing that it was 'too much of a religious reference' for us poor americaners.

You mean they did change it in the American game? I'm gonna have to go check that demo disc now... o_o; I knew it was different from the tv to the game, but... whats the point of changing that, really? ;_; I know we can't really stop them, but most people against showing religious references sometimes seem to think anime in general is evil. Thats why I don't visit local churches around here. T_T Anyways though, I hope thats all that they edit...

I wonder how they'll handle stuff in udeden. c.c; Episode 4? I think it was?

Back on topic though, with the video thing, and stuff... Sora, I wouldn't mind seeing a novelization, that would be cool!
