Well, it's basically his safe haven. His place to rest, relax, sleep, experience painful flash backs that drive him into a coma-like state inside a game which he is trapped in due to a coma-like state...

The real question is, why WOULDN'T you wanna go there? ;)

Has anyone ever read the book, A Separate Peace? It has the same kind of psychology as .hack//SIGN about finding your "peace" somewhere. ;3

... not like that had anything to do with the relation between .hack//SIGN <-> Separate Peace, but anyway... Maybe Finny is Maha/Macha/Maho/My Ho/KITTY/Furry THINGIE... thus, it dies, thus, RIP, in which case it would magically become related to .hack//sign.

Peace, huh. So it suggests that he's struggling inside. Pretty early on. His first fight with Mimiru could suggest that too. Who would turn away a cute girl that was comming onto you. Tsukasa always has issues, I suppose he has trouble enough worrying about them, not wanting to take on any more problems. Or fear of that maybe...

Yeah. I mean, if you woke up in an online game, remembering opening a treasure chest and blinding pain, I don't think you're first concern would be that skimpy dressed girl...

Well, if you haven't _seen_ the end, then maybe you shouldn't be stating character motivation, now shouldn't you?

Regarding the stuff blacked out, YES, the series addresses it, somewhat.

Tsukasa: I'm pretty sure that in real life, I'm a girl. Do you still want to meet?

Subaru: Yes.

Tsukasa: :gasp:

Subaru: I'm attracted to your wandering spirit.

Hardly "Let's just be friends, eh? As I've often pointed out (to little effect because people often decide that the plot is interpreted how they want it to be, regardless of what actually happens) _why_ does Tsukasa think being a girl would be a problem to Subaru with them being together in the real world if their relationship was completely one of friendship? [/spoiler]

Anyway~

[spoiler] Hold on, by Episode 23 Tsukasa already figured out he was actually a girl? x.X; yeesh, I really haven't watched these lately, I thought it was around episode 25 in Net Slum. I could be wrong, but even so, I don't think he was positive about it until they were at Net Slum. ... Or I could just be making an idiot outta myself right now : P[/spoiler]
