I agree that .hack is too short, but overrall its loads of fun,and to me..its addicting too,lol x.x; I really love the battle system, with the running around and hack/slash bit.It reminds me of Kingdom Heart's battle system. And with battle systems like that,I enjoy those a lot.Since with other Rpgs its just the ordinary menu one:"Attack" "Magic" "Defend"
"Item" and your character just stands there waiting for you to put what command for them to do.

They could've fit EVERYTHING on one disc if the wanted to. I have the first 2 discs, and on disc 2 I am able to access areas from disc 1, as well as watch movies from disc 1. So it stands to reason that nearly everything will be available on disc 4 (movies, locations, etc). There's no technical limitation forcing the game to be split between 4 discs. Bandai did it to maximize their profits, and to bundle each LIMINALITY volume with a game. But all of LIMINALITY would've fit on ONE disc as well, so they split that up as an excuse to include it with each game.

Bottom Line: $$$

Don't feel bad about taking a year to beat FFX, I'm still on my original save that I started when Vagrant Story first came out :X ::hides::

Yeah the games are really short, infection is long because you are beginning the game and you need to discover more things and stuff, however mutation is really short!!! I pass the game in 3 days! 3 freaking days!! that is nothing compare to the time I spend to pass infection! Well at lest Outbreak is going to be a little longer because it is the Climax of the whole history....
What is happening? I feel pain....My Bracelet is broken!!

Uhh, there are four games so, in theory at least, that would make Quarantine the climax and conclusion...

I enjoyed the first part of .hack (and the second, haven't played 3-4). It is a good game, has good gameplay, and has an interesting story. However, there are some problems with the graphics (I think Mia looks like a rabbit, even though she's supposed to be a cat) but they're not bad overall. The main problem with the .hack games is that they're too short. I think that they would have been better as 1 80 hour game instead of 4 20 hour games. However, the .hack games are very good overall, and I recomend them.

ok Kazzy, true the game is short and all but the story and all the other effects are really neat. Dont mind the length, just limit the time play

The only thing it's said that the game is too short, but remember that if you imported/converted your data from the other game it would make the game shorter... when I played infection it took a good 25-30 hours to beat... to get use to the gameplay and whatnots... but when I converted the data I saved to mutation, I knew what to do, and since I was at a high level, it made mutation short.... but if you play mutation without converting from the previous game then you will have a longer game, cuz you'll have to find good armor, and spells and other variety of things....
nuff' said. :P

Quite frankly I think the game sucks. It's boring, generic, dumb, standard, nothing special, graphics choppy, ending really... boring and unfulfilling. No challenge at all: which is why I managed to beat two volumes in pure Japanese without... like... any help at all. Unfortunately it has Balmung, and wherever Balmung is, Rhyste is sure to follow.

Honesty, I thought Innis and Magus were wimps. Especially Magus. I thought a game's final boss fight was supposed to be difficult *remembers numerous Squaresoft final bosses*. Hopefully QUARENTINE's final boss will offer a more serious challenge.

Yeah in Mutation the final boss was a joke!!! I thought it was suppose to be at level 50 or something! The second game is shorter than the first one but they aren't boring for me. The climax of the four games is in the Third game .hack//OUTBREAK.
