Oh, ok. Like we said, when you get data drained, you fall into a coma but you get something in return. Now, for a phase, when you data drain them, you're removing the virus that was attached to them. That is the "taking away" part. For the "giving" part, you they probably earn some higher resistance against your attacks.kboy7 wrote:Uhhh.... Like a lot of people said before, data drain gives and takes (i.e. data drained people can see Kite's bracelet in it's idle state)
Skeith, Cubia & Helba

Eh... I'm not so sure about that. You're basing that on the "Data Drained people can see the bracelet when it's not active" thing, right?
Where Sora and Mia can see it? First of all, that Sora is most likely an AI copy. (You can debate that one if you like, but I don't believe he's the real deal. That's something for another topic anyway.) If he is a copy, he was never Data Drained. Second, Sora doesn't say that he can see the bracelet when it's idle. All he tells us is that he knows it's there. This is hardly surprising, considering that anyone can see it when Kite uses it. Also, he could have just heard about it from someone else. As for Mia, I believe she can see the bracelet because she's an AI closely linked to the system. Mia is a part of Morganna, so you'd think such things would come naturally to her. I don't think getting Data Drained has anything to do with seeing the bracelet. If it did, wouldn't Kazu, Orca, Sieg, or the people that Kite took with him to fight the Phases have said something about it?
En der wrote: when you get data drained, you fall into a coma but you get something in return.
Uhh… higher resistance? Before being Data Drained, Phases are invincible! It's kind of hard to improve on that. Anyway, the stats of a Phase remain the same after a Data Drain (with the exception of HP). It's appearance changes, it gets a new skill set, and it might lose a tolerance if it has one, but things like Physical Defense and Evasion will not change.En der wrote:Now, for a phase, when you data drain them, you're removing the virus that was attached to them. I didn't know she is an AI copy. You find this out in the fiurth game?
well to get a little bit back on topic (or ask as question about 2 of the characters in the thread)
how come you have never seen Helba in the fights with Cubia (where u can "control" the outcome) and that she never shows assistance with it?
is it just the fact she isnt on, or that she doesnt want to risk her character as well or sumthing. and not only that why did CC corp give Cubia a "HP bar" or is it for another purpose.

Well, if you notice, Skeith and the rest of the phases all have life bars too. I guess that they just have a script that assigns lifebars to anything that can be attacked. Also, note that C.C. Corp didn't make Cubia. As for Helba, well, she picks her fights. Do you remember what she said back in infection? "...A friend. Or perhaps a foe. A meddler with a warning." She just 'meddles' in the affairs of The World. She does what has to be done, and only comes into the picture when she's really needed, like when she removed Kite from Skeith and Cubia. Or like in Sign where she discarded Net Slum, where Skeith first appeared. She knew that they couldn't win, due to the fact that Skeith is immortal without being Data Drained.

It was not made by C.C.Corp, at least, if it was, then it was a 'silent-project.' Note that Lios is like "WHAT?!?!?!" when her first sees Cubia. The one thing that's starting to eat at me is that Morganna doesn't control it. As a part of the system, Cubia should be under Morganna's leash, but it would appear that he isn't.

But wait, isn't Cubia supposed to protect the system? Shouldn't he be taking care of the virus threat? Another thing is, he saw Kite's bracelet, (a vanquisher of the virus) as a threat to the system, even though it was really helping it. So, maybe he is being controlled....
