I still don't see how CN could be a bad thing, certainly not worse than ripping off the bizz with bootleging. Broadcast is the way to go for those of us who don't have the money for a hobby like that.
The Pizza Cats, now that's funny. I can remember watching that before school, 8-10 years ago would be my best guess.

^^; They also have to censor things in Japan. Many networks won't let you show blood on the screen either. Some shows get around this by coloring the blood another color for dramatic effect..
For instance, the first episode of Cowboy Bebop, I think, had trouble being aired because it dealt with drugs.

Random note about Cowboy Bebop in Japan- it was originally a half season with 13 episodes. The first time half of the series was shown was when the LDs were released, in an OVA-style. I'm quite sure that most of the episodes dealing with Viscious weren't on television, but were saved for the LD set. I'd have to look it up to be sure for a fact, though.. (well not realy story wise but i am sure that is why it was not shown during its first run on AS.)
Budget Zen: When you see something so stupid that your mind goes blank rather than try to rationalize it.
Yeah, I saw that same comment at a CB site somewhere. I think it was Future Blues. They state that the first time only the first thirteen were aired on tv but after seeing the popularity of the videos they aired the other eps in 1999 (nearly a year after they were made).Tsukasa wrote:Random note about Cowboy Bebop in Japan- it was originally a half season with 13 episodes. hey there is a complete anime chanel that is going to be broadcasted, It has a ton of shows, but it also has like the adult anime shows with nuduty. IF you want to know what shows are on it, IT think the web site is www.cx.com, I could be wrong, or just type toonami on the adress thingie and it should include it on the list, hope it works

Well, you don't see more than Melfina exposes in one of Outlaw Star's endings (although Cartoon Network painted some clothes on her). I think they made their own ending for SIGN because the original credits were all in japanese (as they are on my DVDs, at least), so they had to do something anyway.ara wrote:The .hack//SIGN ending isn't shown on CN because there's a nake girl/woman at the end, so they made one.
