.hack//SIGN Did it really end?
It's of my opinion that Tsukasa and Subaru also share a modest latent psychic link. Note all the times something happens to Tsukasa, and we cut to Subaru being startled. (Firefly or feather symbolism here) Or how they were able to home in on each other's location in episode 19.
That, plus context clues, may also have helped them recognize each other.

I agree with your theory.. Because of Tsukasa's still somwhat anti-social nature, Bear probably would not have brought the entire group to Tsukasa's room in the hospital to greet her once she logged out. In my mind, Bear sent Subaru to greet Tsukasa and after they meet and embrace, she leads Tsukasa to meet Bear, Mimiru, and Kurim in RL.FireDraconian wrote:Likely, Bear did tell Subaru where to find Tsukasa. Undoubtedly, she didn't get out of the hospital right away. I mean, you don't just wake up from a six month coma and say, "I'm fine," and you leave. I wouldn't be surprised if Bear was just around the corner or something, wanting Subaru the first to interact with Tsukasa.aura_Key_of_the_twilight wrote:If Tsukasa met Subaru in RL, how did she know what Subaru looked like? And how did Subaru know that was tsukasa? It doesn't really make sense, unless bear tipped Subaru off as to where Tsukasa was hospitalized O_o. It doesn't make sense to me.
Not to mention, Krim explains how Subaru is in a wheelchair to Tsukasa in the last few episodes. Not directly, of course, but enough that a reasonably intelligent person can make a few leaps and arrive at the conclusion.
Beyond that, it's mere logic. They didn't know each other right off, there was doubt. "I'm looking for a girl at this hospital... is that her?"
"I'm looking for a girl in a wheelchair..."
Ta-da.

You've not seen very far yet, have you, BlackroseLover? I think Tsukasa would be quite close to all of the SIGN cast by the end of the series. Krim as well, considering the role he plays for Tsukasa at the end.
Krim is a very major character and plays a fairly major role in the end of the series, more on a supporting standpoint. But that's it.

She may have lost her intentions to be anti-social, but she probably isn't very sharp in her people skills at this point, considering that she rarely used them in her life until her incident in The World and meeting new friends there. If you've read the spoilers on .hack//Zero, which takes place between SIGN and the 1st game, it talks about Tsukasa learning social skill in real life and writing to Subaru for advice.

Then really... you can't comment much on the series, unless you've seen the entire thing, the meeting with Harald is just the first major clue to what exactly is going on.BlackroseLover wrote:I saw up until they met harold
To answer your question, Skeith was not destroyed, neither was the field for that matter. Helba just disconnected it and caused everyone to basically have a forced log out (They went LD to those who've played EverQuest), since Tsukasa had already awoken Aura, and decided to log out, he was set free as well...Legato_Bluesummers wrote:The End Was A Bit Confusing for me (especially in my house) but it simply showed that tsukasa was able to leave but was skeith destroyed by helba along with the field the ending isent a ending
Aside from that all it really did was buy Aura some time to get her butt out of there away from Skeith.

Huh. Whatever happened to Aura at that point anyway? And to Skeith, too. All the "normal" players were just logged off automatically, but the other two are AIs ... so did they just lose the images of their bodies and float there in the area where Net Slum was? did they get shunted off onto the nearest server? Every explanation I can think of ends the same way: Skeith and Aura facing off again, but this time with no one to protect her. That's obviously not what happened, so ...

Well having the field you're in get disconnected would probably be very disorienting to an AI, so Aura was probably lucky enough to escape in the confusion... Helba may have helped as well, though she can't destroy it, we have seen that she's at least strong enough to drive the Phases away.
