Actually. Rubedo, is a reference to the color red, or Reddening.
Melanosis (Blackening)
Leukosis (Whitening)
Xanthosis (Yellowing)
and Iosis (Reddening)

During the 15th and 16th Centuries, this was generally simplified to three stages.
Nigredo (black)
Albedo (white)
Rubedo (red). (Rubedo is also the name of a character in Xenosaga)

Elk: I did too... but Nebu suggested that I change it... she thought I was a girl and figured that other people did too.... oh well, minoru's cool too.
