in //INFECTION when you log back into "The World" you see 2 people standing off to the side Sieg and some other guy i forget (when they are talking about the "cat-like player") but Sieg is Mai's boyfriend and then shortly (or maybe not as shortly I'm thinking of) you see in the News that "2 ppl went comatose in their clubhouse...only 1 has waken up"...obviously Mai and her b/f (is it Toramari or something like that?)...and I also think that the woman in liminality 2 is Helba

Yeah, that's the article. Sieg is in the beginning of //Infection, he said to the other player "I perfer bunny girls. : -)". Tonomari is Sieg's player.

That was Sieg in Mac Anu? I completely forgot about that! I'll have to re-watch that scene when I get a chance.

It seems that Mai is spending most of her time doing research, so I don't think we'll ever see what her character in The World looks like.

If Helba is the OL, that's WAY too many coincidences, even for .hack - also I'd like to note that Helba is at Net Slum shortly before Magus appears. After Kite defeats Magus is when the power outage in Yokohama or wherever the hell Yuki is occurs. Then, if Helba is the OL, she was playing her hacked PC on The World during work... uhm... ok. Excusing that, it's way to coincidential: Helba JUST SO HAPPENS to be a friend of Yuki's Sister, and Yuki JUST SO HAPPENS to be Sieg/Tomonari's friend.

Well, Liminality is (obviously) shown from the real-world POV, so I don't think they show anything of the game, just as they hardly show the real world from the game POV. If you remember when Mai and Tokuoka (sp) were playing in the first Liminality, they just showed some trippy scenes of flashy colors and some creepy Aura lookalike... or was it Aura? Oh well, anyway, while Mai was going "OMG LOOK! SOMETHING FROM THE LEFT!!!" Oh my goodness, we only see flashy colors! Sooo... I don't think we'll be seeing any of the game.
But I could be wrong.

I think that was a typo for 'Mai', Macha...
