For anyone who ever read 1985
War is Peace
Its so clear... the only time a contry is performing at its best is when it is at war... look at how World War 2 pulled the world out of the depression... and The Gulf War pulled us out of an economic slump.. (ok so Vietnam was a slump in and of itslef) War is good for business, its a proven fact.

Think of it this way... we build a democracy in Iraq... their oil can easily help us out... so how bad is it really if we have an ally with alot of oil... it helps us out quite a bit. We get lower oil prices and more stability in the oil market... The only part of war that is not adventagous is the loss of human life and the destruction left in its wake...

It'd be 1984, I'd think. Unless there was some goofy sequel o.o; That'd be frightening.
DUN DUN DUN!~~
THE YEAR AFTER!!!
... right, I need to lay off the sugar c.c; Boykum~
Meanwhile, the deadline has passed, and while there are no fireworks as of yet, it seems war is inevitable.
At this point, we can just hope that it will be short and that the Iraqi army will do as they did in the Gulf War and surrender in great numbers >_>;

(note to all: Zippy is a strategist and has studdied all the strategies from Caeser to Afganastan. He wants to be a general but doesn't like the prospect of boot camp)

the destruction is bad... but remember... overpopulation is the worlds #1 problem... you could think of war as... population control...

I'm a little slow in replying here, but...
On the topic of the Dixie Chicks bashing the president... I have a torn opinion. First let me state that I don't understand very much about our govenrment, and I'm wishing that I had paid more attention in school. But I do know enough to decide that I don't like Bush. But even if I did, my views on this would still be the same, I think.
America is freedom of speech. If you have a problem with something, I believe you should be free to express that. Even if its a problem with your government, so long as you don't cross the line and do something illegal. If you don't like something, you have the right to speak up about it.
But something that my coworkers pointed out in how they were -wrong- about how they expressed their opinion... was that they did it in another country. Its like taking inter-office gossip and badmouthing someone to another company. You don't do it. So I can understand that. She shouldn't have said something against him in that manner.
But what bothers me is that I think that people would have reacted the exact same to them, burning cds and whatnot, if she had spoken her mind -within- the US. I wish that she had done it that way, because I think there would be an easier way to defend her.
But the point I'm trying to make is, I don't think it was such a bad thing that she did, just how she did it. I would have done the same in her shoes.
I still don't want war, but I'm starting to see now why we have to do it. Its just that the way people (the government) are being stupid about how things get done, the immaturity level of some of them, that is why I hate all of this stuff. And I think I've succeded in confusing myself again... but meh.
I'll support our soldiers, now that we're in this far. But don't expect anything else from me. I just hope everyone comes out of it safe, nothing more... And if I had the money, I'd buy a cd in support. u.u I don't even like country music...

"Mabus puis tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens& bestes vne horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main*, soif, faim, quand courra la comete."
"Mabus will soon die, then will come,
A horrible undoing of people and animals,
At once one will see vengeance,
One hundred powers, thirst, famine, when the comet will pass."
