Data Drain Thoughts...

well, i doubt that's how it worked, I think Aura thought you would only need one, and the other three were too dangerous anyway, but when she was fragmented, Kite was capturing them in the Bracelet and unlocked them one by one or something...I dunno

u might be stumbling on to sumthing there (didnt notice u get a segment before u get a new data draining technquie, if u DD when ur supposed to)

yea, besides, Aura wouldnt of had the power to put all her power in one Book, because all the Phases were supressing her at once, when the Phases died, it lessened and lessened, allowing Aura to give Kite more power

but also because of Morganna's strategy they were able to gather data on it using the phases (sounds familiar

) then use it as a "last resort" with Corbinek.

how come Corbinek got 3 forms when the others didnt?

because 1) Corbenic had to gather data on 3 different concepts, the Attachment to Life, the Attraction to Death, and the Strength of the Pure Heart, and 2) you didnt DD Corbenic, so it could manage to evolve, maybe the other Phases had 3 forms, but they never reached them? 3)it's Morganna's final Avatar, of course it'll get the last of her power 4) it's the final boss, and the final boss ALWAYS has several forms >.>

Well, if you've watched (specifically not read) .hack//Legend of The Twilight, you'd see one really messed up girl. She's pretty much a good source of 'attraction to death'

ok let me get this stright,

there are four types of DD data drain, 2188 drain, data arc, and data heart or drain heart. Kite only has the power of data drain while all the phase have all 4. Aura had all 4 only she couldnt put them all in the book of the twilight so she only gave kite one but as you gather fragments of aura u gain new powers right???

The phases are from one being which is actually the world its self and whenever kite DDs one of the phase the world trys to fill the spot where the phase was and since that has started to happen there have been many errors in the world and the CC cant seem to stop it.

am i right? if not can u please answer these quesiont

Well, you are partially correct. There are 4 types of Data drain, but they all start with the word 'Drain', except for Data Drain. Kite origianlly only has Data Drain, but he can earn the rest. The phases only have Data Drain, except for Corbenik, who has Data Drain and Drain Heart. The fragment of Aura theory currently going around seems a tad bit far-fetched to me. At each game i was able to get my next Drain ability with the first Data Drain! I'm also not sure why Aura would need all four, as I'm sure she wouldn't be interested in obtaining rare items from Morganna. Since the phases come from Morganna, who is the game, you're basically destroying the game, only indirectly.

ok, but how would u get the new dd lvls if aura isnt the key to getting them all. i mean if your borroing her power shouldnt you have all she has so if she has them all then u should get them all. what im trying to say is, are the fragments the key to the bracelet?

I seriously doubt it; the other drains have no purpose in the story line, aside from Drain Heart. Also, like i said earlier, i was able to get all 4 Drains before i had all of Aura's Fragments

Well, i'm not sure exactly what number it is, but its somewhere high. Once you data drain that number of times, the following text is displayed: "The Bracelet is Shining! You can now use ___________" Seeing as how you are only allowed one Drain upgrade per game, you could just create a hoard of Drains, as i did. That way, the first data drain you did in the next game would result in an upgrade. I think that the other drains were added just to add a little bit more to Data Drain (Drain more at once, Drain 1 for rare item, Drain more for rare item)
