:lol: I do love the way that is worded.

The entire .hack franchize is really a very clever marketing scheme (this is a compliment, not a flame!) - not only is it many different media, but the reviews I've heard of it have all been possitive. I do hope it bridges the gamer/anime gap to introduce new people to anime. That'd be cool, imo.

I wonder, if The World were a real game, if it would have the kind of "nicknames" EQ & UO have developed...personally, I think .hack deserves one or two even if it's only a simulated MMORPG. I know it's been eating up 4-6 hour stretchs of my time in a blink. :roll: :wink:

Take in mind, that there are those who have put in well over 30-40 hours into that game just doing mini games, side quests, trading, etc etc... I think I've put into it well over 25 or so, and while I'm at the final battle, I've had no interest to end it yet, so... I still go around and do stuff. ^-^ I feel that I've certainly had my money's worth from it so far, after having watched the anime DVD with it and playing as much as I've done (and still not finished with some stuff before I'm satisfied to going to meet up with Skeith. o.o). n.n;

Too bad beating it doesn't unlock Parody Mode tho. ;_; I'm sad to see that it's not in it. ;_;

there are exactly 8 books... i have them all with everything unlocked for game 1, and there are exactly 8... even looking through the files that store the info for the games, i see 8... so i believe there are only 8 ryu books in the book of 1000...

There's only 8: 1000 is 8 in Binary, IIRC.
