Designing is the only tough part for me. As long as I know what I'm trying to make, I can get it done. But level design, story line, and enemy design are hard to work with for a long period of time. I always run out of ideas before I'm done with it. Writing the engine is the easy part for me.

Well, that's kinda why Tsukasa hates fighting. I'm guessing that if a body-suit were made for that kind of thing, that the impacts would be toned down. IE, a bone crushing hit would be a push, or slight pressure. Enough to let you know you've been hit, not enough to hurt.

But the only thing to this is where i live not alot of people now about it but im not sure with any other place but i dont think .hack//sign is so popular but if they make a suit thing they would probbly make it for like all the games so it might not make to much money but im really not sure if its poular dont get me wrong i would DEFFIENTLY BUY IT but right now all im wishing is that they would get the game to go onlineMimirufan#1 wrote:Now call me crazy but iv been thinking and there is a way to make THE WORLD. see during my study halls i figured out that you could make a suit that would sence your movements like swinging a sword, dodging, or even walking. it would come with the head set that would basicaly cover your vision and it would be a tv screen. do you think this is a good idea?

Hmmm. One problem would be walking around, I think. You'd need a large device (like a treadmill, only in 3D) to simulate that without, say, running into walls or falling down the stairs. Unless it's ala Matrix, and the device simply reads electrical impulses in the muscles, but that might produce other problems, like people forgetting how to really walk.

It would be so cool if they "The World" i would buy it but then if they did we wouldent have that controversy that we have grown to love in the .hack games..... with the net slum the phases and hacking it would be really different and probably repetive...
I am going to live forever or die tryying.

It bruises pretty bad, but the pain factor isn't too tough. Imagine after you finally beat the end boss and your covered in bruises IRL.Or like getting hit with a paintball...that might hurt some people too much though....

Games really hasn't given me the kind of adrenaline rush that paintball does. It's nice to feel alive once in a while.

Or we just have an adjuster. From a feather touch, no touch at all, to paintball or higher.
Of course, there would be a limit. And insurance.
Now, if they did make a real The World, they would have to have a lot of Events. One Sin, the 3-questions things, etc etc. A lot would have to be going on to hold peoples interest for an extended period of time.

Sure they'd use the same servers and all. But new levels are easy to work out. It's just like playing Quake, if you go to a place that you haven't been too yet, it'll download right on the spot. So you don't have to bother looking for the software to that area. I'd say it would last about 2 years tops, before the did an overhaul on the game engine.
Of course they'd tone down the axe hits, or they'd get the government on their case.

Well, there would have to be some kind of override code. Or a prevention against PK, like they have in the .hack//GAMEs. An attack by another player wouldn't hurt, unless they are affected by Confusion or Charm.
Plus, there could be an override code. Maybe you must be holding your controller to have it work (needs some connection to the game), or after a certain time of not moving, you 'idle' and go ghostlike, untouchable.
