personally, I thought the art looked pretty bad... It's not like I'm only into anime either... I'm kinda dissapointed.

From the looks if it, it seems to purposely be a parody off the series. The style of it is extremely off the original, and the characters are but caricatures of themselves. IMO.

yeah, it does look parody-ish... but even for a parody.. the art is just plain yucky! I was certainly expecting something else...

BTW, anyone who can read kanji: care to give a brief description of what was said in those screenshots?

I was pretty disappointed too,after seeing that x_x; I'm reminded of Parappa for some reason...

Atleast that episode 28 looks promising,I hope.

No, not all the way... But there are parts. Same goes for Excel Saga. For some reason I could only see more silliness coming from .hack//GIFT =P

The art looks like ".hack meets South Park". For some reason, I don't think South Park style art works for .hack.

It actually reminds me more of Samurai Jack, or some other Cartoon Network cartoons.

And to be honest, I'm not AS surprised about it looking like it does because frankly, the CC2 people are nuts, and .hack is a quirky series in and of itself.

I'm both afraid.. and eager to see it ~_~;

yeah, it'll definitely be... interesting...

from the screenshots (the one of blackrose and mimiru and the one of bear and orca in particular) it looks like it will be more humorous and less of a plot based movie...

EDIT: is it just me... or is Helba not wearing a shirt?? (first screenshot, second from the bottom in the right hand corner) and the bear (not bear, the teddy bear) with the bleeding nose... maybe the humor will be more... adult.. ?
