Sidenote: I mentioned this on yahoo's mailing list:dot-hack-sign, but I'll mention it again in more depth. I recently finished reading a book series called Otherland by Tad Williams. I know not such a monumental event eh? Well it was released some time ago, and involved a series of people who could not disconnect from a network. They were brought together by their investigations of comas that were occuring within children on the net. Suffice to say about 3000 pages later, you get to know the characters but the thing that got me was the similarity to .hack. There is even a roaming AI called "The Other." Also there is a recurring event woman figure that can only be compared with Aura. I won't ruin the plot but if you guys like .hack a lot, and I'm sure you do if you post on here often, then I suggest giving the Otherland series a shot, it's right up your alley. Again I apologize for the long post and my affinity for using huge paragraphs. But any comments are welcome. I will post a link to amazon, by the way if the moderators feel like I'm adveritising for the book series I'm not, it just struck me as very appropriate for the .hackers
