Question about vol. 3

I've read on other threads that in Japan when you pre-ordered vol 3, you'd get a box once vol.3 comes out to put all your .hack games in one spot. Is that offer happening here? And at what stores? I'm pretty sure that the offer might exist because of the spine art(which is a poor reason), but i want to recieve that box so i won't pre-order vol.3 until i'm sure that we'll either get it or not.

I think that was a japan-exclusive offer.

yeah, if it was an american offer thing then you would have heard something about it from american game stores (EB, Gamestop, etc.) usually they make a big deal out of stuff like that (see the HUGENESS that was the promotion for Wind Waker)

Yeah I got a free poster of Wind Waker from a friend that works at GameStop.Too bad that Box isnt available here,kinda helps when not having to go through the trouble of misplacing your games,y'know.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

.hack//SIGN Volume 5 or 6 will come with a box for the games, the other will come with a box for the OSTs

At least that's the word that's been floating around here...

Yea but when and doesnt it seem that Japan get the best of everything exemple a phone that you can play Dot Hack on and the package that only goes to Japan dang that sucks but oh well thats the way the cookie crumbles.

That's probably because both pink-haired ladies (BlackRose in .hack, and Haruko in FLCL) were drawn by the incredible Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. He also designed the characters in Evangelion. His style is easily recognizable (at least to me).

Exactly. But I'm afraid I'll never have it all, so not having this box won't be an issue, really.

Besides, boxes take up an extra few millimeters on my shelf, so there's no room, you see. If the box (for an anime, for example) doesn't come with something special, I usually don't buy it.
