Why is the avatar file size limit so small? I would like to use this one I just made: but it always says it has to be less than 6 KB...and 6 KB is TINY.
I like doing sigs and avatars, just ask and I will make you one or both.
I appreciate avatar filesizes being small, because I don't want to wait all day loading the BBS pages because of everyone's avatars and sigs. I don't want things to get excessive.

Tsukasa is right. Not everyone is on high speed connections, and having to load a page with a lot of pictures is annoying when the real content is the text.
Besides, an avatar is just an identifying feature, it's not supposed to be anything particularly pretty, necessarily n.n;
