It's better to give the stuff up and get the party member then to not. You never know when they might come in handy, after all. Besides, 9 times out of 10, you get something better in the next dungeon.

[spoiler]No. That blade sucks. It gives a few more points of damage, but completely ruins your accuracy. For Vol 1, Dante's Blades or Hell's Gate are usually said to be the best.[/spoiler]

yeah, i have to agree with you on that. i just gave those blades to Natsume as a gift! But if you're like me and don't play vol. 1 unless you have vol. 2 ready to start playing, then blades should be no problem. Vol. 2 has much better blades, and the best one's are recieved from a side-quest!
