Outbreak pushed back a month

According to IGN, the third volume is due out September 9th, 2003. That is a month and then some days longer than the previous before. Now we all know, or at least I think so, that the 1st delay From October 2002 to February 2003 meant that a new game would be out every 3 months. Thats great right? Well, it was until outbreak had been pushed back.

Has there been any official announcement by Bandai of why the game was pushed back? I hope there is a good explination. I can go without the mediocre english voiceovers anyday if its delaying the game.

** I just did some more searching and I found 3 different release dates for outbreak. If bandai hasent done so yet, they should clarify the date.

Actually this has already been discussed in previous threads... I believe it was pushed back because they wanted //SIGN to finish its run on CN first... Supposedly //OUTBREAK is a very //SIGN oriented game.

I think it's to give people more time to lose their "Proof of Purchase" from Mutation so they can't get the rebate.

.hack//sign would of been close to the end if Cartoon Network didn't change the time slot. Then we would have our game on time and everything would be perfect, no?

Yeah, but CN likes shows like DBZ that have 800 episodes they can show 200 times each. .hack//SIGN, with only 26, means they have to spread it out as much as possible, which means once a week.

And so yet another possible release date starts circulating for the game. Anyone care to bet that next we'll hear of a January release for volume 4 to go with the September date for volume 3, and a November date for volume 3 to go with the February one for volume 4? I swear, this is the first time I've ever seen so much uncertainy over a release date this close to release.

Well.. at least the people who dont have the money gathered to get the next volume have more time to get it. Frankly, I'm out of money after getting a new computer and the FLCL DVD box.

Nah, that'd be pointless.. the game would look unmarketable since no one would expect to find it, and thus not buy it.

We wouldn't want that..

I was just on EB's website and it says the release date for Outbreak is October 10!! It also had the release date for Quarintine as, i think, around December 12. The only positive that I see in this is that I will be able to rent all .hack//sign dvds and watch them before I start Outbreak. But the last .hack//sign dvd is realeased around September 2 or 16. That still leaves a month of anticipation. I wish Bandai would have at least said the later date to begin with. But oh well.....good things come for those who wait. i guess
