I was talking to Cossack Leader in my //INFECTION game when he said "I want to become strong, just like the Crimson Knights!" Not very interesting, but I thought it was funny seeing a //SIGN reference.

The Crimson (or Scarlet) Knights are a league of blademaster players that swear to protect The World, upholding what it right, blah blah blah. Subaru, pardon, Lady Subaru was the person in charge of the Knights, while Ginkan (Or Silver Knight) was the 2nd in command.

The Knights were distinctive in that, apparently because the Administration saw no harm in letting them do this, they all looked like knights, armor and all. Ginkan's eyes even glowed red when he was tense.

The Knights were disbanded when Subaru determined that they were going to far. Instead of acting like a group of players who tried to help the Admin, they began to take things in their own hands. Ginkan even sent a request that be given Admin-like powers, to observe the players personal information. So, Subaru dissolved them, much to the rage and despair of Ginkan.

A reference toward the Crimson Knights could easily be made, by chance that they may exsist in Limality, or were meant to exsist but we never see them. However it would be odd to name them as they were in //Sign as that would be redundant, and sort of out of the whole loop of look-alike characters with different names.

Or it could have been Crimson Knight, which would refer to just one person... I can't remember if it was plural or not... Do Crim and Ginkan still play? This could be a reference to them.

Cossack Leader is a random PC you find in the Root Towns. Like Wing, Yuckey, Heavy, etc, etc.

He tries to act like a Police Officer of some kind in the Root Towns, and confronts people who harrass other players... so I could see why he would idolize the Crimson Knights.

It is possible they exsist as I stated, and is probably the most likely anwser. ^^

I doubt it. The Crimson Knights were fairly obvious. And they were completely disbanded during SIGN.
