I finnally beat mutation what did you think of the ending?

I think Mutation was the only one with some kind of sudden plot twist type thing out of all the endings... >.>;

If you watched the 2nd OVA b4 playing the game you kinda knew something "big" like that was going to happen at the end. On that note, I still cant understand why Balmung didnt stay and help out Kite at the end, but at least it seems to bring him around for the 3rd game.

lol, thats the same thing I thought! I'd never seen an ending quite like mutations, so applause go to Ito-san for making good, original, and quite a cliffhanger. Now, if only Outbreak would just arrive. Balmung will soon be at my grasp... hehehe

My thoughts on the ending?

Infection ending - Okay. Things just went from bad to worse... (Note: This was AFTER the string of curses I emitted after Cubia blasted Kite in half).

Mutation ending - Holy @#$%!! Things just went from worse to officially *&%$!! (censored for content, obviously).

I don't think I've ever seen a cliffhanger ending like that in a game. Except for maybe Persona 2. But I digress.

I wonder what I'll think when I finish Outbreak?

I have a question about the endings though, for those people have have already played //OUTBREAK...

Does //OUTBREAK's ending show the appearance of Macha, or does that not occur until the last game? Cause it'd be one heck of a shocker if it ended with that.

"Oh, I just beat Gorre, hmmm, what's this? What's going on? ... OMGWTF?!?!"

... no... Maha's transformation is volume 4... you only see the gradual change presented through Elk and memory loss.
