Rena, how important is she?

Post by error »

After watching the ending of the song on LoTB, i've been sort of wondering. Rena has become extremly important to the story lately. When I saw the very last image in the ending I have come to the conclusion that there is something up with Rena. Something big we don't know yet.

When I think about it, she might be the Key of the Twilight bracelet. The reason I see this is because of Rhyste's theory on the Key of Twilight. Willpower as the key? Well if you think about it, Rena is Shugo's will power for fighting in the game mostly (that and fun, but more so her).

Right now in LoTB the story is really revolving around her and in the end of the song, it shows %99 precent of just her. In the last picture, it's a picture (I think it's a picture frame or something) of just her armor. Also, in the real life it leads us to believe that she has some problems going on inside her (even though it's the past, Shugo explained that she is still the same in a way).

I know this is way out there, and there isn't much back up, but it's just a thought. Anyone else have any ideas of future happenings?

Well... I see it as this.... Shugo is the main character of UdeDen. However... everything he does in the series, so far, has been for Rena. Their wishes in the Tanabata episode were to be together again, as they have been separated... However, in the manga... Shugo's wish was to be strong enough to protect Rena. (aww!)

Rena is a very important person to him. If anything were to happen to him, he'd be devestated... Either that, or he'd be broken on the fact that he was completely unable to protect her, sadly enough.

She's not the -bracelet- mind you. The bracelet is the bracelet of twilight, rather than the key. There's a big fixation on 'twilight' in this game anyway... ( Does this sound familiar to anyone? Yet to return, the shadowed one who quests for the Twilight Dragon )

However... There are plenty of different conceptions on what the 'Key of the Twilight' is as was proven on this board. With that in mind... Maybe it's safe to say that Rena isn't even something as important as that... as she is the most precious person that the main character knows... and with that in mind, we know that Shugo will do anything for her and to see that she is safe.

Well I was thinking she is the key to his bracelet. I know Shugo has the bracelet and all, I just think Rena has a big part in why he has it and such.

In a sense, too, Tsukasa was kind of everyone's else's Key of the Twilight: Through his problem, they changed. :P

Rena and Shugo... well, they changed from the Manga that they lived together. That's like... can't explain, but that drastically changes their personalities and relationship with each other. Their separation forces them to want to be closer together. Rena, IMO, isnt' as touchy feely in the Manga, although Shugo does Blush at the sight of his sister's stick sized waist and (small non-existant) boobs. >:P This could be a characteristic caused by them living together. *shrugs*

I'm thinking of like, asking Bandai if they'd consider titling .hack//UdeDen's anime version as, ".hack//Incestious Revolution." >:P

Also, the ending of episode 6 is starting a new branch away from the manga as well, according to Kite.

... uhm... it's been branching away from the Manga since EPISODE ONE. :P The change of Rena and Shugo's parents status really did affect the entire story, IMO.

There's no group of four hackers - currently, the only "villain" is Kamui, and the big plot focus is Zephi...

Oi oi oi.... I didn't say it wasn't. @.@;;;

I'm just adding about that big change. Besides... this is still only episode 7. We're not even a third of the way through it yet. There's no telling WHAT will happen yet.

Eh, I'll be honest with you: I know that an Anime version of a Manga (or Vice Versa) is typically an AU, but .hack//UdeDen's anime has interferred with the game too - Sanjuro is not a required plot pushing character... Wiseman, on the other hand, is, and is in the Manga, but they've replace him with Sanjuro. And it looks like they're trying to count either Elk or Tsukasa, and Subaru or Terashima Ryoko as one of the Dot Hackers - Terashima Ryoko, like Sanjuro, isn't a plot required character either. :o) On the other hand, you see Tsukasa and Subaru (at least, it's safe to think it's them) when Mireiyulle goes to meet Wiseman in... login #9... or was it #10? Oh well; whichever one has Balmung standing up against a wall looking gorgeous... @_@

I'm still holding firm to what I said.

1) We still have a 4th game to be released on the video games. I'm not saying anything has deviated from the games until I know what game four entails.

2) Average length of a TV series is 26 episodes. We're at episode 7. Most series don't even finish their plot's -setup- until at least episode 14-15. o.o;; I still say it's too early to say.

Well, "Sanjuro and Terashima = Not Important Game Characters" is true.

If Tsukasa shows up during volume four, I'm going to throw my PS2 out the window, and go and cry in corner. XP

Also; someone managed to crack open the .hack//INFECTION disk which is how I got that movie list: There are no .hack//SIGN characters on your member address list... the guy couldn't find the "lesser" in-dungeon and in-town movies, so if we meet //SIGN characters, it'll probably be in a dungeon, like how Mimiru appears in vol. 2 and stuff. :O

I've heard, (from a reliable source) that there will be playable SIGN characters in vol 4. Then again, I don't particularily care what people think about the info.
