Here's my rant:

I cant believe they changed Ouka's name to Orca!! I'm pissed,I'm mad! I could kill someone!!!

-End of rant.

Yeah,either way I bought the book.I have nothing to say anything bad about it,I enjoy the manga better than the anime :/

[P.S.I hope you know that was just a random rant,doesnt really mean I am furious about it -sweatdrop-]

Manga rocks, but now I'm really intent on writing fanfiction and watching as people's views change...because that's what happens sometimes when people read fanfiction.

The ouka/orca thing...that..was weird. But the manga is really good...except there were some points where I wanted to hurt a character for various reasons.

I learned to ignore the Ouka/Orca thing..even though when you say Orca in a sweedish(I think) accent, it sounds like Ouka.
The art is pretty & cute.. Not to mention the characters actually have quality characteristics that makes me want the second vollume... >.@;

Just got the manga on Fri. It looks pretty good, but I have 2 complaints:
1. I'm not really a fan of reading right to left. The English language (actually, the Roman alphabet) is meant to be read left to right, and I've always thought that switching it for manga was a bit silly.
2. They changed Ouka's name to Orca. Did they not know that there is a character named Orca in the games?

However, while the English alphabet is meant to be read right to left, the book was originally composed in Japanese. If you want to force it into right to left from it's original left to right, then you will have to mirror all the artwork, and that typically gets a large number of complaints, as it's no longer 'original'. You're not seeing everything as it was originally in the book. Then it also provides more work for the image editors, as they have to take any tiny bit of text in the images and either remove it or flip it as well so that the art doesn't -look- mirrored.

...in the end, it's tons easier to simply have the fans read left to right.

If you're going to be reading something that was originally in another language that is so incredibly different from our's, it may be best to put up a few allowances so that you can get the most accurate translation you possibly can.

It's the manga - four years after the events of the game.

But anyway, I LOVE THE MANGA!! I can totally see a difference between the anime and the manga. So... cute *o*

.hack//dusk should be really .hack//legend of the twilight. .hack//dusk is just its fan-given name.
