Anyone else think its weird that Mia and Elk are on the cover to part three even tho you donâ€™t even get to use them once? I think a Balmung and Kite cover would have looked better for part three.

BTW Iâ€™m sure this has nothing to do with the game but Mia can also mean Missing In Action. And of course thatâ€™s what she is most of the time.

I think the title came from the fact that the entire world is infected now.

Three stages. To Quarantine something is what people do.

yeah, it's basically describing what happens in the games: //infection-the start of a virus, the virus shows itself. //mutation-the virus mutates to become stronger. //outbreak-the virus is out of control, and causes an outbreak. //quarentine-the virus is quarentined.

You hit it right on the spot. Bandai is clever at naming games, no?

Does anyone know if infection, mutation, outbreak and quarantine are direct translations from the Japanese title, or did they give the game a whole new title?

they're shortened versions. I don't know what infection was, but mutation was errosive mutation/corrosive mutation, and quarentine was Absoulte Encirlement

No, b/c the 2nd game in Japan is called .Hack another story or .Hack 2nd story, one of the two. It makes you wonder why the English titles always have to be different. We should keep them as the Japanese titles, as they were the ones who made up the game in the first place.

But then again some Japanese titles would sound too weird to people over here!
