Were people really that confused?
Alright. This may sound like a stupid question, but I know a lot of people, while watching .hack//sign, were really confused about what was going on. Were a lot of people really that confused? lol, well I know they were, but I know that I was not confused one bit on either .hack//sign, the games or so far of what I have seen of Liminality.

"Alas, the truth unbeknownst,
Awaiting her at journey's end;
Eternal mourning for her land."

Well most of the people that are confused haven't seen the entire series, .hack is meant to be watched as one large thing, but when you divide it into its individual parts (IE: The Game, or just //SIGN) it gets confusing...
Imagine going onto the internet when you've only seen the first half of //SIGN and seeing all these things about Kite, and the Epitath, and everything else. It can be very disorienting.

I picked up on the 6th episode and I understood it from there. My friend who I watched it with was like "whatever I don't get it." Like what's been said you have to watch every episode from the first to the last and no miss a bit of it. well in my case that's kinda different but at that time things were still fresh and nothing too in depth just yet. It helps if you see all of the episodes rather than some here and there.
Oh Maha-Mia I'm never gonna let you go!
6 is still early in the series, you haven't really missed much, the first 6 just involve Tsukasa realizing his situation, finding the hiding place, and getting the Crimson Knights seriously POed at him.
It also introduces the main characters, and shows why they become interested in him.

A lot of what Xenogears' concepts point to aren't as mind-boggling as much as they are numerous and twisted. Xenogears is much like a tangled web of plot twists, that individually, are either simple or silly but feasible. Lain, however, is nearly off the deep end.Albedo Simeon wrote:You want mind-boggling? Go watch Serial Experiments Lain or play Xenogears or something...
.hack//SIGN, on the other hand, isn't the easiest to follow show around simply because there isn't much to follow at all, besides Bear and the gang getting their Breakfast Club on each and every episode. To tell you the truth, I find the entire series as unchanging and constant as, say, fifty episodes of Dragon Ball Z.
I probably would have enjoyed it better if it were a novel.

Hey, you know a game is twisted when your save points are actually spy modules. ~_^ Xenogears is the best RPG I have ever played, though. Really gave me lots of ideas for stuffs. And the designs. Love them.
Serial Experiments Lain is an anime you sit back and watch. It's a strangely comfortable anime, even though the scenery is all dark and all. Something I won't mind watching again and again and....
Maybe it's just because I'm off my deep end, but hey. School does that to you after awhile. ^_~

I like how .hack//SIGN is slightly constant. Personally I don't like change, and .hack is nice because there arnt many mood changes in the characters (exsept Tsukasa). Evangelion anoyed me for this reason. In some episodes Sinji is happy and others he's in deprestion. In .hack//SIGN Crim is allways protecting Subaru, Sora is allways killing players, Bear is allways nice, and Ginkan is allways anoying.

To Rhyste and anyone else who's interested in this little rant:
Crappiest controls? W.T.Heck. It's a darn RPG. Who CARES if an RPG has crappy controls.
Now that darn Devil May Cry on the other hand....Bloody camera, making me die in Dante must Die mode... And the controls messing up... DIE YOU BLOODY GRIFFON 3!! *Stabstabstab*
OK I'm done. *Starts running for the exits*

Yes, I know the last disc is unfinished, Xenogears isn't perfect, and I know cool mech/character/area designs when I see one. The story isn't the best, but it's good enough for a bored person like me. Oh, and the gear in Shevat was El Ryuegers. The one Elly rode to save Fei and gang in Merkava. Anyway, if you're still reading this, I marvel you. Good day, and sorry for wasting your time.
