If there was a .hack//Game Anime

If there was a .hack//Game anime or manga, what do you think it'd be like? What characters would be cut out?

IMO it'd be close to the //SIGN style, they already have character designs in this style for most of the major characters, so it isn't that difficult to imagine an anime based on the games... though considering the nature of the games there would be a lot more action in it.

Sanjuro (if just to justify why he appears in the //Udeden anime)

But really, who wouldn't want to see Kite and Co. fighting against the phases in an anime fight scene?

You do know that CC is making a novel, that will be telling the story of the games from BlackRose's point of view. Right?

For one, it'd have far more clever wit than //SIGN because of how closely the games makes allusions to the internet (IE: the Miss Gardenia asskissing and subsequent flame wars; Heavy and her narrowband connection; Huey telling the goggles fanboy to die). And if it's written by the same person who did scenario for the games, it'd be far, far less pretentious and grating than //SIGN.

I would expect nothing less than grand comedy from a .hack game anime adaptation.

Though it'd still have to have a serious plot in the background... I'd see it as more of a serious anime, with a couple comedic episodes scattered throughout, and a few lighthearted scenes in most of the episodes...

Though seeing Piros's curse in anime form would be hilarious, as would the whole Kite saves Terajima Ryoko scene... :p

I think Terashima would be in the anime: Just look at her. There's always two types of girls the hero likes: The soft spoken one (ie: Subaru) and the hothead (ie: Mimiru).
