Do you think they will come out with a .hack compataple with the ps2 network adapter?

No unfourtionatly. I've always seen it as them just made the games for the story. I think they just wanted to get the story out in all diffrent ways. Anime, Manga, Novels and Games.

Basically i'm saying that a game actually being online would take away from their goal.

I've actually heard somewhere that Bandai -has- thought of making The World, mind you, using the same game system as the .hack games. Of course, it'll have a character generator and such in it as well.

....this is only speculation that they've held, mind you. This is in no way set in stone or fact yet. I think it's best to wait before you can say 'yes' or 'no' on this question.

I think it would be pretty cool plus a gold mine for bandai.//also was there a .hack sign game for the ps2?

So far as i know, the only games are .hack//Infection, and the 3 games that come afterwards. Admittedly, if they actually made The World, that would be ubber-nifty-spiffy-cool!

.hack//Luminality and the other OVAs are short, direct to dvd 'movies.'

.hack//SIGN, and .hack//dusk are both animes, with .hack//dusk being based off of a manga.

While all of these are based in the same world with a connected story, I do not think there are plans to make any of the animes into games, or vice-versa.

Well, if they made a game I would indeed buy it and love it. I just don't see it happening. This is just and opinion though.
