Phantom Quest

This isn't really a spoiler, because if you haven't done/or heard of it you wouldn't know what it is

But has anyone done the Phantom Quest in Outbreak?
I'm trying to finish it and want to know a 'bit more about it, and the point behind it, if there is one.

I did it.

Not much to it, if I remember correctly.

Just like the last two volumes, you either kill or or DD it for a nifty weapon.

Not really much of a spoiler..

You need to get those in order to get the three secret members that will join you in .hack://Quarantine... and GOD I WANT THAT GAME SO BADLY!

And also, you get really good items(you probably already found out about that already)

And that's pretty much about it..

And yes I've got them all.. and it was hard to get them all.

No you are thinking of the special dungeons that you are told about at the end of each game. This called "The Phantoms of Nine" or something close to it. Here is a hint, the church in Mutation. Sorry but that is as much as you are getting out of me.

I KNOW that, I'm just asking if you need the three weapons you DD out of the bosses in the three sidequest dungeons in order to get them into your party at the end of Quarantine -.-

God I hope not... if so then i'm screwed...
I must've fought that monster from //OUTBREAK 10 times and not once did I get protect break on him. I wound up just killing the sorry son of a puchiguso...

In Mutation you keep going back to Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground until you get as many weapons as you can. Like M: Heavy Axemen and stuff. But the only way you can get them is doing it IN Mutation... I had to like do a new save file to get all of the items. And yeah, the background rocks!

Secret chars. in Quarantine? Where'd you find out that there would be new chars.? I found a review in a EB book about games, and they said that after Quarantine there will "enevitably" be a new .hack series. They didn't say where it would begin, but they did say that.
I thought that was pretty awesome. And, if that's the truth, I can't wait to check out the new series. o.o;
