When Tsukasa's Gaurdian attacks someone with that arm like thing is it DDing or what? Or is it just that strong to kill in one hit?

That's a good question, now that you mention it, it makes me think. It looks as if it Data Drained Silver Knight on one episode, and it did give him amnesia...

i heard it is like data drain but does not hurt the player really bad.it is not like they are put into a coma or anything

Yeah, considering it didn't put Silver Knight into a comatose state or anything... I think it's... Just like a weaker version. But if I'm wrong, someone please correct me. ^^;;;

It's confirmed to be a weaker version of Data Drain. Perhaps it's called Data Leech? XD

As if now, if that's really what the Guardian's DD is called, I feel embarassed.
I never even knew there was a name for the Guardian's attack thingy... >.>;

However during the capture of Tsukasa episode the guardian used those very same tentacles and whipped every soldier out of the way but didn't DD until Subaru came out.

If you paid attention during that scene, you'd notice that only the single thin tendril from the middle 'ring' orb has that 'Pierce-Drain' effect. The big huge clumsy things from the two side orbs are just...big clumsy things.

Actually, they help in the whippin' too. They just don't do that Semi-Data-Drain thing. Just whip. Yup.

It also helps with the "blob" look.

DDing is just rewriting something's data, so you can't really measure it. I don't think Kite's DD has "strength," but I've heard someone say that it's "like crushing an ant with a ten ton hammer." In other words, the DD victim is pretty much powerless against it. Something to that effect, anyway.

Crushing an ant with a ten-tonne hammer? No, no. Try stepping (Harmlessly) on the ant, colouring it purple, giving it tiny goggles, and blasting it with a leafblower.

Then completely throw it away and replace it with a blue whale. Which you proceed to decapitate and eviscerate, before smashing it to a tiny atom with a black hole grenade.

That's probably how it feels to get Data-Drained.
