.hack//DUBBED
.hack//DUBBED
Umm yeah, ordiarily I'm not stupid enough to post anything about the sub/dub debate on a series specific site, but I have a question that applies specifically to .hack. I have heard the .hack dub called "exceptionally good" and the original Japanese "exceptionally bad". I completely disagree with these statements, but I want to gauge other people's opinions on this on. Thanks ^^;

Yup...people are just lazy,and arent used to reading words that are on the screen,you do realize that does help you read better :/ I mean,they do the same thing with reading words across the screen in college.
The subs will always be the original,the dubs of course edit out or alternate the dialouge around because they can only put in so much.
There are some animes out there that with the dubs,they are good,voice wise I mean,and they Sorta keep the dialouge the same,or they try to atleast.

I favor the sub over the dub... Though some people complain that the subtitles are too distracting. The dub has exceptionally good voice acting, but some actors aren't exactly great... *cough*Crim*cough* The original voice work is usually the best way to go. :3

...I don't even care. It depends on which I hear first, because that becomes the more normal thing usually...Yup. Like, when there's an udeden dub, I will probably be all "ACK" at the dub voices because they...don't feel natural. It all comes together. Or like me, and you have a short attention span, dubs can be better. I miss out on a lot sometimes while watching subs.

I agree with the idea that it depends on which you saw first, the subbed version or the dubbed. I saw the dubbed version first so I will always associate this voice with Tsukasa, that voice with Subaru. But I will say that the dub has some glaring problems and inconsistencies in it that simple common sense could have easily prevented

Well, i have to say i like the American Dub a whole lot, also don't have many problems with the voice actors in the show, i like how deep in thought they are, the only voice i don't like is the source of information that BT has. He is annoying, but everyone else's voices are good to me, especially Subaru and Tsukasa.

For me, it depends on what i first watched it on. I happened to watch the Slayers movies in jap. first, so when i bought the Slayers series and movies, i was shocked at Lina's voice. For Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, i listen to it in spanish. And for .hack i listen in jap, once again due to hearing it first in jap.
