Whats Going to Happen to .hack//SIGN
.hack//SIGN is shown on Cartoon Network at midnight Saturdays. Recently there have been rumors that the popular Adult Swim block would take over Saturday nights. So this begs the question, whats going to happen to .hack//SIGN. Sadly, Cartoon Network doesn't seem to care much for the series anyway, only giving it a minimum amount of air time.

"Hey, it did start on Toonami, who's to say it won't be put back?"
This of course raises the question of why Cartoon Network (CN) never really gave .hack//SIGN much of a chance. It was a totally brand new series but it began showing in the most godawful time CN had to offer. Its a known fact that it had the shortest run on Toonami of any series.

Not quite!
Of course, the series I'm talking about is that... IGPX thing... It showed for a week, but that's because the whole thing didn't total thirty minutes... Alas!
When you think about it, .hack//SIGN had one of the BEST time slots in its beginning (Saturday, by the time everyone was awake and most of them being couch potatoes.) Then they knocked it down to a worse time slot (but not the worst slot; those would be at about three in the morning where they still show things like captain planet and such...
)

He's... ALIVE?
Well, there are pros and cons to it being shown so freeking late at night, and same goes to the Saturday afternoon slot it used to have.
Though, I think CN neglects SIGN a bit, because it's not an "action-packed" show like everything else it has e.e Kids only care for the fighting and the spiffy crap other than a plot nowadays.

No duh... American children are too exposed to fighting, no offense to those who are Americans... And It's all Bush's fault for that.... (kidding)
There too used to girl's being slashed, and blood, I don't even know why would anyone neglect it...
Even YTV doesn't show it... cause I sent an email to them(respectfully)said to them... and they replied that the show was too boring to even show it... but they do show Inu-Yasha... geez....

Chongara love info to help big guy understand .hack, eh?
YTV only likes shows with people hitting eachother, with no story. Not to mention they seem to enjoy groaning shirtless buff men.
Ok, guys. You see, Toonami always takes shows off of their timeslot. Remember Tenchi Muyo? That was taken off. If they take it off their timeslot, it will probably come back later, due to lack of ratings.

I cast FAIL on those who mock my old signature.

While we're on the subject of the sixth dvd I might mention that Bandai recently announced that both the limited edition and regular releases have been delayed two weeks till March 16th. Have a nice day.
Anyway, it is possible that CN is afraid to give more time to the show because it puts plot and character development before mindless action. I've heard a theory tossed around that .hack would just be absorbed into Adult Swim on Saturdays. Although I seriously doubt this will ever happen, it is a reasonable conclusion.

It is true, whenever I mention any kind of anime people usually think of DBZ or ask if it is similar to it!Cyral wrote:No duh... American children are too exposed to fighting, no offense to those who are Americans... And It's all Bush's fault for that.... (kidding)
