well, you see....
When you fight Cobernik (or whatever the hell he's called) it transforms into several things. First it's a seed, then a leaf, then a flower. After the flower phase, it creates an invincible shield. Aura summons all the PC's of the comatose players, which then turn into blue balls of light. You can see the light in the recap of volume two, i think (in //outbreak) They appear to just be blue lights. Anyway, the lights attack the shield, and it breaks. I think you then fight a pair of eyes. But the reason why Mai's boyfriend helped is because Aura summoned all of the comatose players, and he happened to be one of them. I'll know for sure on Monday (Amazon is sooo slow x.x)
thedudewhosadude pretty much summed it up, I saw the fourth volume a long time ago and saw what your talking about where they entered CC Corp office building and logged on. Mai says they're all there fighting and she throws in several comotased players names and they all are doing what thedudewhosadude just said, though I dont see why you used the spoiler code since the game is out now and pretty much everyone who got the game is or already has seen it now.

Thanks!
Thanks! You guys already answered my questions on Liminality. But one more thing, why on earth did they have such large time gaps between each disk. Oh well, I guess thats a question to ask the creator.
I must have it...........I must have Soul Edge!!!!!
Actually Tokuoka was the one responsible for keeping the server from shutting down during the last fight. Remember when everything went all staticy in the final battle, then suddenly went back to normal? That was Tokuoka.
"Hark he of Fair eyes, I am CRtwenty of the Azure Keyboard!"

Hold on...
True, Tokuoka did by fixing the server, but he didn't do the timing between Helba's server and the server that he was using, it was Mai Minase who had to do the timing. It was both Tokuoka and Mai Minase that saved the server
Chongara love info to help big guy understand .hack, eh?
I’m nitpicking here, but...
...they didn’t really fix the old server. Helba’s Omega Server was wrecked beyond all hope of repair by Corbenik. The World’s servers can only hold so much data, and the data volume of the Phases is enormous. All a Phase has to do is pass through an area a few times, and the area will become corrupted and protected. Corbenik in its final form is probably bigger in terms of data volume than any of the other Phases, and it stayed and fought the longest.
Tokuoka was trying to create another Omega Server and link it to Helba’s. Tokuoka’s server could hold much more data, and it would provide Kite and company with a stable environment in which they could fight Corbenik. However, the servers would not connect for one reason or another. It might have been a simple glitch, or maybe Morganna planned ahead and took action to stop such a scheme. The only way to get Tokuoka’s server online was to wait for Helba’s server to collapse. If Tokuoka’s activated at the exact same time Helba’s collapsed, Tokuoka’s would replace Helba’s, and the situation would stabilize. Mai was in charge of that, and she managed to pull it off.
