Red Blue Subaru

How and why if anyone knows did Subaru change from red to blue?

Maybe she started with pink (well, duh), but later decided to edit her character to blue? I dunno. That, or the animators needed a distinctive way to tell the past and the present apart.

I thought maybe she got to a higher class and her outfit changed

Hm...maybe....
...or....the red outfit could have been a sign of her being in the Crimson Knights?

She was still apart of the CK when she was in the blue outfit, but I'm gonna have go with D on her idea on this one.

It was confusing... until I found out Pinkness Subby was just a flashback thing. o_O;

Yeah, I agree with Duskino on that. Considering that Subaru was only pink in the past, I think she looked pink just to signify that what was happening was flash-backy.

While it probably was just an artistic thing... maybe she got some sort of special costume after she became the leader of the CK? Stalker Girl says that there are a lot of Subaru lookalikes, but that none of them are able to duplicate the real Subaru, so it may have been a status thing.

yeah, that was a confusing eppy...i wasn't sure if that was a flashback or not, cos usually they'd do that weird fuzzy digital thing with flashbacks...

I think to give it more of a dramatic feeling, they left it normal instead of real world-ish or flashback-y. I think it would've killed the feeling of the episode otherwise.

It was still kind of washed out though... But I think it was just a design choice by the animators.
