Newbie Question About In-Game Boards

I just got this game yesterday, and I was wondering:

Do the in-game message boards have a set series of messages that appear or can players actually post on them?

They are already set.

The character that you play - Kite - will post something automatically if it is part of the storyline. A lot of things that happen in the game are event triggered. New posts will appear after you play certain scenes out.
