In the old Topic Big Towers I asked what was the huge thing before we meet any of the characters and before Tskasa and I asked "What was it!"
It was concluded it was a huge cell phone!
The Question that is now pondering over is was that Net Slums that it was in?
Because in that episode they showed a giant cell phone in the background behind Bear then behind Mimiru when they were talking and behind Helba when she warped in.

Big Towers revisited!
"I ALWAYS DRINK SAKE AT THE CHERRY BLOSSUM FESTIVAL! I DON'T CARE IF THE BUZZ ISN'T REAL--I CAN ROLE-PLAY BEING DRUNK!" -Balmung- dotHack//Legend of the Twilight
yeah i noticed that too, b4 tsukasa meets morganna the phone is in the "waterless beach area" that has (seashells?) in the background.
then later on while talking about morganna its in net slum.
then at the end of //sign its back at the beach area....
could it be that it reflects on aura, morganna, and/or tsukasa..
whats its point or just its existence is "impoortant" enough like mia says in the game

'Only redemption shot'? I'm not sure I understand that.... Especially being that Bandai is /huge/ in Japan. .hack could have flopped, and Cyberconnect 2 is the only group who would've been really hurt from it, I bet.mvrckbass wrote:maybe thats why CC considered Dot hack as "Bandai 's only redemtion shot"
Take in mind, Bandai is the backing company behind DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Gundam in Japan. ^_^;; All of which are way /way/ more popular than .hack. ^-^;; They are also bigger revenue sources. With them in action, I think Bandai's set, financially, if I recall correctly. Especially with all the new Gundam stuff being released.

Hmm, yes I was thinking about this the other day too.
The towers are cell phones, and they're shown in the first sceen of ep. 1 and in the final scene of ep. 26. With periodical cameos as was mentioned above. I think the speech Morganna makes in the beginning and end of the series has alot to do with it (As long as we walk together, I will protect you.).
It can be viewed in a variety of ways, They could be seen as connections, or links, to the world outside the game. Almost as if Morganna is saying, "I am The World, I am everywhere."
Whatever they are, I don't think they are supposed to be in The World. Which is why they are shown in Net Slum too, because, as we know, Net Slum is a place for trash data. The connection to Morganna is obvious. What exactly that connection is though, is sketchy.

Lycoris: What is the name of your spear?
Alberio: It is the Divine Spear of Wotan.
Lycoris: It is a Spear of God.
Alberio: That's right.
