Morganna starting to look like...

Medusa...

I don't know why... but, she starting to sound like Medusa... with the exception on turning people to stone...

I was thinking... that... since Medusa turns people to stone.. and never returns them to living flesh until she was defeated.. Morganna is the same thing... well almost.. Morganna puts people into comas with DD whenever people looked at it.. and it was inevitable.. that they were going into a coma... and... the fact that they weren't going to be awaken for as long as Morganna is around....(Of course.. I'm being a comparing idiot, so... does anyone here support that idea?)

Yea cyril, it does make sense. And alot of the .hack characters do seem to be based off mythology and whatnot

Look at what, Morganna? Anyways, Morganna did not put people into comas. The phases did (i.e. Skieth, Guardian, ect.)

Sorry for the bad grammar again..

It's Morganna is starting to sound like Medusa.

Well look at it... and compare it to the Mythological Stories of Medusa(Forgot who defeated her..) Whenever someone's eyes comes in contact with Medusa's people get turned into stone.. that's the mythological side to it.. in the .hack://Series. Morganna is technically somewhat like Medusa.. (with the exception for the snakes on her head and turning people into stones) but more like turning coma(which is technically the stone part I was talking about... so it kinda gave me the idea that Morganna starting to sound like Medusa..

As for Fire Draconian reply...

in Mythological times.. no there isn't any avatars or copies...

But.. technically, I can say that Skeith, Innis, Magus, Macha. Tarvos and the others are basically one entity, Morganna.. so.. I got the idea that Morganna and Medusa somewhat the same.....

OK.. I think I'm starting to get the picture...

Morganna is the 'present' form of Medusa... Like in old times, where the story of Perseus(Thank you Deimos for the name) slaying Medusa in her sleep. it's basically like that with the exception of the fact that Morganna is the 'computerized version' of Medusa........(I'm an idiot just realized it) the phases that you see.. are basically the 'snakes' that are in Medusa's head.. If you look at it.. Medusa and Morganna are the same...

With the exception of Aura and everything. Well maybe to Kite(who acts like Perseus in some way)

Perseus was the one. He attacked her while she was sleeping, and avoided death by not looking directly at her. Instead, he watched Medusa by looking at her reflection in his brightly polished shield.

Hmm... That's sort of similar to Kite using his own special item to block the full force of Morganna's Data Drain.

yeah it makes a lot of sense....

(havnt i seen a pic with medusa having EIGHT snakes on her head before????)

-sweatdrop- plus i dont think any one is gonna try and count how many snakes she has on her head cuz i said sumthing.....

and they said Morganna EVOLVED into an onmipresent state..so does that mean she had a physical form in the past?

*wonders if their is a time line of Morganna's existence*

I dunno, she doesn't sound like Medusa at all to me.

First, it has nothing to do with looking at the Phases. They attack you, and basically 'kill' you, putting you in a coma.

Second, Medusa never trapped someone in her lair, wiped their memory, and used them to keep her daughter from waking up.

Third, Kite isn't using the bracelet to blunt her attack, he's using it to attack her. That'd be more like Persius gaining the ability to turn people to stone and then making Medusa look at him.

Fourth, Morganna isn't even really evil. In SIGN, she didn't start being 'bad' until about halfway through the series. She's just trying to keep herself alive, and, unlike most villains, hasn't even killed anyone doing it.

if ur strong u live, if ur weak u die. its kinda what Morganna is trying to prove. She is Strong and will live not according to her daughter but to her own terms

Then why don't your party members go into comas, they don't have bracelets, and according to myths (or at least the ones I'v read) Medusa is defeated because she see's her reflection, she looked herself in the eyes, so it IS kinda like persius gets the ability to turn medusa to stone. Morganna is the one that controls the phases, so she's PRACTICALY medusa.
