Why can helba hold them off by throwing her staff into the ground? From what has been seen thus far, the phases, Cubia, Aura, and Morganna are above normal data, so why can Helba keep them back? Sure she is a hacker, but I highly doubt she could do that, wich raises another question, how could she make Cubia go away, when she was what he was created to destroy
Helba is a good enough hacker to mess with the Phases. While she can't destroy them outright, she can delay them and also herd them a bit.
As for Cubia, it ignored Helba because she posed no threat to the system. Cubia was only supposed to target people who could actually hurt the system (Morganna). Kite is the only one with that kind of power, so Cubia only went after him and the people who happened to be in his party at the time.
then why does he hurt your allies in the battles with him? And isn't Helba a good enough hacker to destroy the system?
Cubia attacked Kite's friends because they were with him at the time. It wouldn't actively pursue them like Kite, but if they attack Cubia, it'll fight back.
Threats to the system means people who can use Data Drain. Aside from Kite, Shugo is the only one Cubia would attack, but only if Shugo does something stupid like Data Draining Aura.

in that case stupid would be an understatment

i always wondered, does it say who invented corbinek? it would almost seem like Harald would since he knows about data drain because only Aura originally knew it
I had to fight him once with Mistral and it sucked a**. It took me over 10 times because he only attacked her if attacked individual.
although i have not beaten cubia yet...i know that cubia is a sort of security system for "the world" and its job is to protect it from hackers like helba and kite....also i have a question...how come the admins cant kill off skeith or magus or any of the other phases?

that not even god himself can eat it?

If I'm correct...
In the first game, when Blackrose takes you to the chapel, both of you encounter (I think a phase of Morganna) and then Balmung comes in and tries to destroy it but he can't 'cause the monster is immortal until Kite DD's it.
No, that's not true, that was just a data bug.

Ok, let me rephrase this...
