What exactly is Cubia's purpose and what catagory would he be in?

[spoiler]Cubia was another of Morganna's defense systems. It was designed to protect her and the system in general from players with illegal items or abilities that could damage her. As soon as a player made himself known as a threat, Cubia would launch and try to delete his PC files by using Data Drain. If that approach failed, Cubia would attack the offending player with more conventional skills whenever he was in a position where he could damage the system.

Cubia only stayed active as long as a threat was present. If the power that could damage the system gets destroyed, Cubia will disappear as well until a new threat arises. It tried to keep things in balance and was pretty much on its own side.[/spoiler]

So you saying that it will never go away? I have only beaten the first three games so don't tell me anything from the fourth.

since u played the first 3 games, it will always run away if it gets beat and heads "back to the drawing board"

it always had a copy of ur data so it could keep track with ur powers.

In the fourth game, you have to fight him again, but he'll just run away again, thus getting annoying after 4 times you beat it..

A couple of hours of playing it.. it'll be back again, to stop you from talking to Harald, which obviously failed. But kills Harald in the process, so thus you fight it for the 5th and last one.. (boy it's easy, but man, so long.)[/spoiler]

How they managed to kill Cubia is basically the Bracelet itself.

They had to destroy the bracelet in order to defeat Cubia..

Which lead to having no bracelet to defeat the last phase[/spoiler]

[spoiler]cubia is a program that is to protect the world from major threats to the system, since no one knew data drain (which it considered a threat) no one saw it before, when u learned data drain and use it (according to the story mode) its launched and tries to protect Aura and Morganna from u because it thinks Aura and the malfunctioning morganna is part of the world. only way to beat it and not make it come back for "Round 2" is to destroy the bracelet[/spoiler]

I'll explain that..

[spoiler]Since Kite lost the ability to Data Drain, he couldn't defeat Morganna all on his own. but the power of Aura that he has to use, Since they lost the ability to Data Drain trying to beat Cubia cause they had to break it in order to defeat Cubia..

And they said clearly that they had were in a stalemate, Morganna lost Cubia, and they lost Data Drain, but they have Aura. so basically, where I'm going, is that they had to use Aura's power to defeat Morganna.. but they never realize that it was going to be used in a way that they had to kill her to make them both reborn...

And also..

I can guess with this one.. Kite was using the power of Aura, to weaken her, but even though she was weakened and the fact that Kite was going to do the finishing blow.. Aura got in the way, to get herself to be reborn.
