Ok, In the game you get various items from the .hack//SIGN characters, such as "Mimiru's sword" and "Sora's Blades".
How did they all get items named after them?

Probably they were some sort of special edition or something and got it named after them. Ok, that's not right

it was just how u identified them,

since the game was updated a lot of times (in 6 months)

the weapons might have been obsolete so they were deleted except for the people still carrying the weapons (not like u can get them by opening up treasure chests or DD monsters now)

but then the weapons would still carry the ID of the weapon wether or not the game was updated.

They are probably a rare item you can only find one of so they called them there own... I'm confusing myself. Look at it like your mom gave you a blue car to borrow. The car had a name but you called it mom's car. I'm guessing something like that to identify that they were from Sora or Mimiru. You get what

or since u never seen it before and u dont know the "official" name u just call it it what u got from the receiver or whatever

but wait, what if someone else got the say Mimiru's Sword? The person would not know who Mimiru was and consider it a name and an ultra rare item.

Actually, it's quite obvious... Bandai made it like that, so you'd be all excited, special, & suprised upon recieving weapons from your favourite characters from sign.

The reason the weapons are blantantly named, is because.. well... The Staffs, swords, ect. all belonged to those players... & again.. bandai wants you to feel special.

You can usually get items renamed in some games. They might have even gone through some quest to get special items named after them.

here is what I think

1. It just a huge plot hole.

2. they got them renamed like Fire Draconian said.

3. They used a cheat.

4. Maybe its kinda like how Shugo and Rena won the Kite and Blackrose character models.
