It's actually just a package deal in Japan that included Unison (SIGN episode 28 ), all 4 Liminality OVAs and a DUSK sound drama.

Yes you are right it is a package deal and Unison is where They all meet up Blackrose Tsukasa Mimiru Kite ect.

Just as a note, Unison can be seen on the Extra Disk that comes with the .hack//SIGN Vol. 6 LE.
