it's an extra episode, it's a flashback episode where Mimiru remembers when she was a n00b, and she was taught how to play by a player who was online nonstop by 3 teenagers, and how the teenagers used a spell to turn a hard monster boss into crystal, but the player became crystal too, and the monster fell over and both crystals shattered so that the player and the monster could never come back, the spell was removed from the game though, and years later, Mimiru finds the remains of the crystals just sitting there

So what, did the players have to re-subscribe for another PC?

Btw, was the spell a hack?

About the crystal thing, if it really destroy the character permenatly if they can't be recovered they would have to start a new character over again, and that seems kind of stupid. I've also wondered if that guy that Mimiru was with had any signifigance, perhapps a character in .hack//sign? Maybe if they were playing during "Fragments" and couldn't import their characters to the new 'World' they would both have to get a new character. The younger girl is obiously Mimiru, maybe the older man was Crim (hey, he said he played during "Fragments" and he's fairly young, so he would probably be in Collage back then.) Possible theorie.

The players all said they were all going to be graduating from highschool soon, and that they would be going their seperate ways. They also mentioned that they were planning to stop playing when they graduated.

As for your second question, no, the spell in not a hacked ability. It is a speacial ability that probably comes along with a rare weapon. Considering these players were using Mimiku non-stop, they probably came along such a weapon. Also, that ability only existed in that version of the game, and was removed in later versions, so no one can use it anymore.

Ender, I was already typing my post, when you came in. If you look at the dates, my post was only one minute after yours, can I write a post like that in a minute's time? No...... Anyway, they probably removed the attack because all the players that couldn't be recovered had to re-redister and it was probably to much of an annoyance. But appearently, the game administrators just left her there and they never bothered to delete her, so would they just let other characters like her just stay there? Or maybe she was a special case because she was in a "legendary" dungeon. But it's still pretty weird that they would just leave her there. :?

well, it was supposed to be set up so that a party member could revive you, but when the statue becomes broken then it's too late, they probably didnt remove her corpse because they wanted it to stand as a memorial or something, or maybe the spell is programmed to make the statue stay there for some reason? maybe there used to be another spell that could repair the broke statues, and technically Mimiku wouldnt be dead, so it would still be logged in, so...AH! HEAD HURTS! >.<

Moderator intervention!

If things like this keep up, En Der, I will delete posts. Just a quick warning. Please be a bit more considerate when things like that happen.

No, no special ability to revive the broken statue. When the statue broke, it's data became damaged, and could not be repaired. Also, since the feild was a special one where the levels of the monsters varried, when they closed it off, they must not have cleared it out, so the statue remained there.....Well, that's my theory....

But don't you think it's a little odd that when the dungeon re-opened she was still there and no body noticed? Wouldn't someone get to the gott statue, and realize that there was a crytalized woman there? And then they would post on the message board about it, and then the administrators would know.

According to the infomation given out by the episode, apparently the dungeon was very difficult. (It had monsters ranging from level 1-99, so it was difficult since the monsters were random.) And Mimiru said it was just reopened, so it wasn't possible for someone to get down to the last floor; that is, unless they went through it before like Mimiru. So Mimiru and Bear were the only ones to find her, because Mimiru had done the dingeon before and knew what to expect.

That dungeon was supposed to be a pretty difficult one. It's not unlikely that it would take players a while to reach the bottom.

and what about other people who's characters broke? if they can break so easily, then there must be some kind of way to help them, and how could they log on again if there character broke? it's unfair, that must be why they removed the skill, but still, you'd think it'd be harder to lose your character that way, huh, and I bet they didnt remove it because when the statue broke, it became a simple graphic, and graphics can be easily looked over when it comes to MMORPGs, trust me (remembers all the graphic glitches he overlooked before the beta version of his game)

I already explained this in one of my above posts. The data was damaged and could not be restored. Even if they wanted threir character back, the System Admin could do nothing, for the data was lost. You can't replace something that was lost so easily.
