How anti-climactic is the ending? (spoiler)

Post by Amethyst »

When Morganna trapped Sora and turns him into Skeith and sent it to the Net Slum, Helba instructs them to leave the field and.... the whole thing turns off - it's over. Who thinks that ruins the moment of suspence dramatically? Who actually wanted to see them try and tackle the impossible?

Not me, thats what the games are for. I liked the ending.
Lycoris: What is the name of your spear?
Alberio: It is the Divine Spear of Wotan.
Lycoris: It is a Spear of God.
Alberio: That's right.

The main objective of the 'team' was to get Tsukasa to log out, if they fought Skeith, that would put Tsukasa in danger, and Skeith would probably end up data draining him, (s)he would fall into a coma again lose all his memories (of wanting to log out) then Subaru would have to convince him to log out again, and it would prolong the series more than need be. I thought the ending was okay. I wish Tsukasa wasn't a girl IRL though.

It wasn't as anti-climatic as you make it out, a good part of that ending was to set up some of the concepts for the games (I can't really vouch for ZERO because I haven't ventured into that.) If they didn't go into some of the stuff in the games, I would agree but this isn't the case.

I think it was climatic, in a sence of wondering what will happen next to "The World" and its players.

The SIGN's crew job was merely to get things up and running, and mostly just to get Tsukasa up and out of the game.

(pointless edit: woot! 1337 post ;D)

I agree, SIGN was exactly that: a sign of things to come, they got Tsukasa out of the game, Awoke Aura, and basically got things running, if they tried to tackle Skeith, they would all be comatose, and all their efforts would be for nothing at all, also, if Tsukasa wasn't a girl, then his/her relationship with Subaru would be nowhere near as meaningful, it would just be another smultzy romance, besides, I'd rather have Tsukasa and Aura be free and have Skeith running around causing trouble then have everyone comatose and make the entire show a moot point -.- that would suck
