This is just a theory, so I'm probably wrong, but here goes:

[spoiler]What if characters such as Sheraton and Plaird are the results of characters that have been data drained whose info is still residual in The World, which is why Lios has to delete them[/spoiler]

No, they're just AI that were created randomly from extra bits of data, not other players. AI are not supposed to exist in The World, and it's been the job of system administrators and workers to get rid of them when they pop up since the beta.
