Eight Phases Info

I want to know, if anyone can give me a picture of all eight Phases of the wave?

Phase 1: Skeith the Terror of Death
Phase 2: Innis the Mirage of Deceit
Phase 3: Magus the Propagation
Phase 4: Findell the Prophet
Phase 5: Gorra the Machinator
Phase 6: Maha the Temptress
Phase 7: Tarvos the Avenger
Phase 8: Corbenik the Rebirth

incase anyone wanted to know. Also feel free to post theories on the phases, i'm very curious to hear about them (Especially 4-8 )
I know some info on them, so if you also have questions feel free to ask me and I'll try to offer a good answer.

I'm at Magas now....after trudging through that stupid dungeon for 20 min. going through net slum and setting through another movie...Magas kills me....the sad part, I had protect break on him throughout half the battle and didn't even know it until I beat him so much that Restore protect activeated....

....but that beside the point, my theory is that the phases were created to protect Aura from Cubia, Thats why Skieth split her into 3 pieces...to make her harder to find.

Well, no. The 8 Phases work for moganna. Morganna doesn't want Aura to complete her task because then it would make Morganna obsolete. She couldn't kill Aura because that would make Aura complete, so she mearly disabled Aura by having Skeith data drain her. The eight phases of the wave=Morganna's avatars (Note: Maha was working for Morganna during .hack//SIGN also, Morganna sent Skeith after Aura, after trapping Sora in his staff). It's all in the Epitath of Twilight, well what little that's translated has the part about the eight phases.

Morganna, IS, the 8th Phase. I thought you read everything Niu wrote at GameFags? Also, that contradicts:

If you're an avatar, you're a representation of someone else; you don't "work" for them, per say.

Actully the 8 phases =Morganna they are like her arms and legs only sperad out where ever she wants

this also applies: hurt 8 phases +hurt morganna =hurt THE WORLD because Morganna is the world

I think Morganna created the Phases. Or they were created to serve her. Either way, if you destroy someone's creation, that doesn't automatically result in hurting the creator.

they are part of Morganna's AI system as she evolved they were created,as part of her. So if you hurt them you hurt her this is proven because you never fight her directly.yet she still dies

Relationship between an Avatar and what they repesent is...a broad definition. Sometimes they simply are the being they represent, and sometimes they have a little more free will.

Even in Indian mythology, which created the term, it was this way.

A more modern example of the usage, the "robot" Andromeda is called an Avatar of the Computer AI Andromeda in the TV series by the same name. Sometimes they're the same being, and sometimes seperate.

For an example in RPGs of Avatars and free will, I suggest looking at the first three Lufia games (SNES and Gameboy Color.)

Besides.....

[spoiler] Even in the series, what composes identity is tricky. Look at the Mia/Maha/6th Phase debacle. Note how you can "save" the programming of Mia that isn't the 6th Phase in the epilogue. [/spoiler]

So I stand by my usage of "Morganna's Avatars" as definition of the phases.

Where did you get this information? You make a lot of "matter-of-fact" statements, without providing proof. If you know something I don't, I'd appreciate you explaining it to me. But when you say "this is this, and that is that" without giving proof, it's called your opinion.

Mia is the 6th phase only at the time of Sign it was Maha.Maha was defeated(I dont know how), but the phases must die in Order, so that allowed, Morganna to rewrite Maha as Mia to look like a character played by a human.

[spoiler]in fact in Part 3 or 4(I dont remember which) you have to fight and kill Mia but at the end of Part 4 Aura sends you an ungarbled Email with a keyword place telling you that new life will blossom at the end if that dungeon and the new life is Mia,but I cant remember if you have to fight Mia again in a different Form or not. If you dont believe me lookat www.gamefaqs.com under the .hack boards for PS2 and they will tell you the same thing[/spoiler]

At the end of the epilogue dungeon in Outbreak/Absolute Encirclement

[spoiler] You fight the Yellow Guardian, which is holding Maha from SIGN prisoner inside of it. When you beat the Guardian, this free's Maha, who reverts into Mia. [/spoiler]
