Would you use a hacked character in The World?

I was considering this during breakfast.

If you could use a hacked character model to appear as virtually any character you so imagined in The World (if it were online, of course...a different thread altogether, which has been duplicated and replicated for over a century now), would you, and how would you?

Firstly, I'd like to say that I've heard that it's difficult to have a hacked character model on an MMORPG. Even if that's the case, we can always assume for the sake of the discussion that we all have super hax0r skillz softw4r3.

Also, if .hack is any indication, admins would disdain hacked character models. Would you run the potential risk of using a hacked character model?

For my primary character: no. My hard work being potentially deleted because of my illegal character appearence is simply not worth running around The World as Spike Spiegel.

For a seconday character? Ch'yeah. My secondary character would be one worth taking screenshots of.

If I could use a hacked model though, I think I would try to make it less apparent to admins that I am using a hacked character model. Considering a game like The World is bound to have virtually limitless customization options, admins may look at your Cloud Strife character and immediately think "hmm. Interesting...that player managed to make a character that's the spitting image of Cloud Strife" before coming to the conclusion that your character is hacked.

The same cannot be said of a character who looks like Pikachu.

But besides having my character's appearence hacked, I would also like to have my character's abilities and class hacked as well. Twin blades that can cast the highest level magic? w3rd. Wavemasters who can spar like the best martial artists? sw33t. I think it could be interesting if you can also change the name of your class altogether: something along the lines of SOLDIER for Cloud, Bounty Hunter for Spike Spiegel, Electric Mouse for Pikachu, or my favorite...Plumber for Mario.

Well, you also need to think that YOU are using a hacked skin, but unless everyone else has downloaded that skin, they're going to see your normal player skin.

If the admins don't bother me.. yea.. I'll try to make a hacked character. Otherwise... no.

I have heard that Helba's model is a hacked skin. Obviously, it is visible to Kite.

Gotta remember that we're a bit into the future.. who knows.. they might have made some advances in technology to allow custom characters to be seen without necessary download.

Maybe.. whenever Helba enters a server or field.. all users in the server/field automatically download her skin (possibly very very fast) and load it (possibly very very fast).

I wasn't thinking as of 2010 The World, I was thinking in a modern day version....But as my main character, yes, it would be cool to have a character that looks just as cool as he is.

I dont think i would use a hacked charecter. I would play without one for awhile. try to make him look as cool as possible without hacking. and then maybe i would try it.

if you're talking about hacked skins.. then I might (matters what the default skins are) and if you're talking about hacking my char. then definitely no!

like Pin said, IF and only IF I were a mad hack3r I'd try my luck at hacking my skin. I think I'd look like Sephiroth with kick-ass wings on the back (maybe like what he looks like in Kingdom Hearts)
