As of this evening, we've made the difficult decision to get rid of the Babble Board. I know that it will be missed, but this forum is, after all, meant for discussion of .hack. We've been asking people to cut down on off-topic posts a great deal over the past few weeks, and even after forcibly closing most of the old threads, there has been no appreciable difference.
Needless to say, please don't use the other boards for off-topic discussion - it should be taken elsewhere, or to IRC.
Thank you all for your understanding. ^_^

Just adding a quick note that we are serious about the off topic messages on here. I've already toasted two in the 24 hour period after the death of the Babble Board.
This is a forum on .hack. Not emoticons or RO or anything. .hack. Got it? Good.
Just saying now. I'm not even going to take the time to post the problem with the messages if they're off topic. I'll lock it and send it to the cyberslum. That's that.

Budget Zen: When you see something so stupid that your mind goes blank rather than try to rationalize it.
And, on a somewhat related subject, we do not like it when people spam pointlessly in order to raise their post count. We dislike it seriously enough that it will probably result in the offender's post count being set back to 1 - for a start.
I do not intend to stay up until 3 in the morning again, locking old threads just so that the people I'm intending to address here can't post to them.
Thank you in advance for your manners, common sense, and - when asked to change your behavior - the ability to politely and cleanly apologize rather than grovel irritatingly.
(No, being the only active moderator has not put me in a good mood. How could you tell?)
