I was sitting around at home today when DING-DONG! UPS guy comes with my .hack order!

First thing's first--the size of the box. I ordered the "Special Edition" which is something of a bigger box.

The front of the box has a small window for the Haseo figure, and the back has a little "Special feature" area.

The Text reads: Included in this special edition package:>>Exclusive Haseo Action Figure >>Terminal Disk, a PlayStation2 system exclusive disk with a video digest that shows what occured in the previous .hack series >>.hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth Game.

The Haseo figure really isn't anything special (then again, I'm not an avid figure-collector, so maybe it's just me.) but it's a nice bonus.

Then of course is the game itself! It comes in the standard-sized ps2 box, and it becomes apparant that the special edition box was just a blown-up image of the regular.

Stowed in an easy-to-miss slot is the Terminal Disk. It comes in a cardboard sleeve roughly the size of a normal jewel case.

Gee dude, you've done it again. Thank you SO much for the info, youre lucky. the figure looks pretty sweet, but looks like it doesnt have much articulation, but i guess its okay, as I am a major action figure collector although i dont like taking them out of the box.The cover art itself is very good though I think we have all seen it before.As for the spine art, yet another grunty? I mean really, they could have come up with something new.Well, Hack isn't Hack without gruntys, right?Terminal disk sounds super interesting

. I give //G.U.'s appearance a 10/10

The figure has NO articulation points at all XD

As for the terminal disk, I'll be taking screen-by-screen's of it once I get my digi back, for those that aren't going to spend the extra $10. However, something that I've noticed...many of the voices are different. Mia's voice, in specific, is completely redone, by a different actress. Some of the other lines have a few words replaced here and there, but the change was just...odd.

well, its a shame that mia's voice is very different now, even though i havent actually heard the new one, the old mia voice sounded very................(insert adjetive here), very good.

Wow, hey... I just finished watching the first 4 episodes on the terminal disk (they basically recap the first 4 games) and uploaded my games save data (only about 3 hours play time at the moment) to discover that I've unlocked episode 10 already. The terminal disk, so far, contains only a few minor revelations. [spoiler]Apparently project G.U. was going on even while Kite was fighting in The World. It looks like its purpose became trying to figure out how to write data from The Wave (Morganna, Phases, etc..) into NPC or PC data.[/spoiler]

There's also a minor revelation about Sora which confirms what we already theorized.

[spoiler]When he was DD'd by Skieth, Skieth was able to somehow ''possess" Sora's spirit IRL. When Kite found Skieth's Wand after defeating him, Sora was released.[/spoiler]

Only one mention of the Black Box so far... of course we know that it will be opened somehow[/spoiler]

On a side note... the Haseo figure looks pretty cool although I was disappointed that it didn't come with a stand (it doesn't stand so well on its own). I also had trouble getting the blade-like things to stay on his back... anyone else have this problem?

The left hole on Haseo's back isn't cut in the right shape, so I had to kinda force it in XD

i've bought the regular version and i've converted the old game data and when i've checked my mail in the game i got: (don't know if this is a spoiler but) [spoiler] i get a email from black rose and a email from a AL busters person[/spoiler] i just think that its pretty lame

that the special thing you get is only that!

they just reveal some minor details about what happends after the end of part4 [spoiler]kite and blackrose was suppose to meet in real life but she chickened out[/spoiler]

the other I could care less because i never read AL busters

and for the people who have read it,it might mean something to them.

That is pretty lame, If this is the "uber special thing" you get for beating all the previous games then CC2/Bandai Namco blew it way out of proportion.

From what I understand, All of the original actors returned except for Lios' (his VA passed away earlier this year.).

All the footage on the TERMINAL disk has been redubbed though

When Kite is doing data drain for the first time on the terminal disc, you hear double voices :shock:hte new voice over the old voice that is what im reffering to ........well anyway I got G.U.(finally!) and personally I think the voiceovers were just wrong...I mean there was nothing wrong with the old voices whatsoever!!! geez, not to sound like a hack hater but in my opinion the special edition dissapoints me. And yes I too had trouble with the figure although i guess its O.K. Fortunately I got the guide for the the game, and im happy to say the guide is phenomenal! It more than makes up the the crappy voice overs and the apalling figure. Feel free to share youre distaste or agreement with me.....

Meh? the terminal disc? it came with the special edition of .hack//G.U.,
it wasnt on the original. Basically, it recollects everything that happened in the first four volumes, and a little special tidbit about pi.
