Aura art

Couple nights ago I decided to do a picture from the tape I have of Folklore. I've always wanted to try my hand at .hack//sign art, but this is the first I've done. I may try to do Subaru next. Hope you like the picture..

Oh,very nicely done "Matt" ^^; I just love pencil sketches.You also do your japanese symbols very good as well.

Thank you, Ookami.. I was just debating whether I should add the rest of the shading on her before inking, or inking first.. What do you think? I'll probably have a Subaru piccie done by Monday too..

Isn't Aura's name in Katakana "Aura" not "Oora"?

Aura in Japanese just didn't sound like how you'd say it in English, so I went with the second way of spelling it, which I did find in an online dictionary.

I think the shading would look even better to me.You can also do it in ink,just to get the outlines to stand out,but also to get the shadows to come out more clearer.Sometimes when you do pencil shading,you have to really press hard,seeing as the scanner gives you a hard time with showing all of the pencil shading on the drawing x.x; Unless you have a good scanner of course.

The scanner here at college is pretty good in quality, but with how light she first appeared to me while I was drawing, I was a little apprehensive about giving strong shadows on her, but that'll change over the weekend. I'll have to get back here Monday to scan the shadowed piccie, then ink it. I'll probably have a Subaru picture ready then too, though I'm not sure how that will turn out..

Since Side7 gives so many people problems during the daytime, I put my pictures on a separate server in case it's too hard to load the first. Try this one, it should load with no problem.
