You know, there are many advantages to being raised on a fighting game message board. You will start perceiving the entire world in whole new, fighting game related ways. For example, if a good friend would ask me for advice, my suggestion would always be: Roll Cancel.

So, when I saw .hack//Liminality: In the case of MAI MINASE for the first time, I was floored by Mai's crouching short kick, which took out the computer near the end of the episode. It had mad priority; it'd probably be an awesome poke if Mai was in a fighting game adaptation of .hack. Thus, for the longest time, I carried with me the notion that Mai Minase's c.short pwns.

A little background: Sagat, in Capcom vs SNK 2, has a crouching fierce punch which has great linkage and range. It has thus far become an insanely popular running joke on SRK. I eventually got to thinking: what if Mai's c.short can link into a Tiger Genocide?
