ok everyone, this is SORTA like .hack, barely, it is an Alternate Universe fic to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! the characters are completely different, the setting is completely different, the only connection to .hack is Morganna and Aura, and they arent even AIs, more like Gods!
The setting is basically a new world with real magic and whatnot, the Land of Twilight, a place that was created to create the perfect lifeform, although the residents do not know they are test subjects in a sick and twisted experiment of the Gods, and they're only salvation is for the Messiah prophecized in the Epitaph of Twilight (not the one we know, more like a bible) to be born, and when a little girl opens her eyes, the saga of the greatest event in history occurs...
Chapter 1 Awakening
Darkness....darkness that evelops everything. That was all the girl saw or knew, until the day when her eternal slumber ended, and she opened her eyes. "Huh? uh..." The girl throws off her white bed sheets and steps off the bed, looking around at her surroundings, a colorful forest, a stream, and a teddy bear floating around, amused by the stuffed plush toy, she grabs it and squeezes it, and then the fairy tale forest darkens as a voice makes it's presence known in the girl's mind.
"Honey, go back to sleep" the girl gasps and replies outloud "uh? M-mommy? No, uh uh!" The girl knew something was wrong, an ancient force she couldn't recognize told her to run, that something was right, the girl began to run, but dissapeared...
Kamwie sighed as he walked through the Planes of Hell, a tall man with dark hair and soft emerald eyes, wearing a black suit and a red cape, he walks around with his golden sword resting on his shoulder. He came to destroy his demon father after he killed his angel mother "Father, I will have my revenge!"
As he began to draw his sword, a magical gate opened and spat out a girl in white and a teddy bear, if he didnt know any better, he would think he was staring at Innocence and Purity themselves.
"Wha...What are you?" He steps back, something like this, shouldn't be in Hell at all! The girl then opened her eyes and looked up, with a sheepish smile on her face. "Hello, who're you?" He smiles and helps her up, as they begin to walk. "My name is Kamwie, a half angel, half demon, I'm here to kill my father after he killed my mother, who are you, young one?"
The girl didnt know how to answer his question, so she changed the subject "what does kill mean, Kamwie?" Kamwie isn't surprised, she was innocent after all. "Nevermind, young one, you don't need to know that until your older!" she shrugs
As they enter the lair of the Demon Lord, the girl starts to shudder, as she clutches the bear, and the Demon Lord emerges. "So, Kamwie, you think you can take out your old man? heh, and is this your girlfriend? didn't know you were a pedophile, guess there's hope for you after all!"Kamwie growls and swings his sword at the shadowy figure. "DIE!" At this action, the girl buried her face in the bear, and all she can hear is the clashing of blades and screams, she starts sobbing, and she starts remembering Kamwie's question from earlier for some reason. "what's your name?"
As it echoes through her mind, words and letters form together in her mind, as the ancient force from before stirs in it's slumber. "My name is..." the fighting continues, and from what she can hear, Kamwie is losing the battle. "My name...is...Aura!" and when she utters that last word, the bear dissapears as she is forcibly thrown into the air in a trance, as a bright light fills the chamber of the demon lord, and the demon lord withers, the Planes of Hell crumble around the two heroes and everything goes dark, as Aura opens her eyes once more, she is in Kamwie's house, it seems, a temple like architechure is the theme, and Kamwie is holding her in his arms, snoring, she nudges him, and he wakes up. "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!" she giggles and hugs Kamwie, who smiles and hugs her back "Aura...what are you?"
In a darker realm, somewhere deep in the Land of the Moon, a shadowy figure, feminine, watches Aura closely through a mirror "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the greatest of them all?" the Mirror then turns into a face, that smiles and speaks "the Christ is not it, or the Buddha as well. and you my Lady, is sweet as a bell!
But in fields of power, beauty and light, the little one called Aura is greatest of all! Heed with caution, she is your downfall!" the woman sighs and dismisses the voice as it focuses on Aura again, watching her closely "Soon, my sweet, soon your true purpose will unravel, and when it does, only one of us shall become the Twilight Being..."

Chapter 2 The Bell Tolls for Thee
Aura was in Kamwie's study, surrounded by discarded books, she finished one of the big books she was reading and threw it over her shoulder as she grabbed the last book and began reading it, then Kamwie's voice came from down the hall. "Aura? It's time for lunch!" He came him holding a tray of finger sandwiches and lemonade, and put them on the table as he realized something was wrong, he looked at all of his books lying around on the floor, and Aura finishes the last one and throws it down and runs to the table.
"YAY!" Kamwie rubs his eyes "Aura...what did you do to my books" she shrugged "I read them, what else do you do with books?" "You read my entire Library of books in 10 minutes?" "Yea, how long does it take you?" Kamwie sighs and shakes his head. "You should put them back after lunch, Aura!" "Already did." Aura says calmly as she starts to eat her lunch, Kamwie was about to give her a disbelieving stare if he didnt look up and see that all his books were back in their shelves, alphebetized correctly. "What are you?" Aura giggles and eats another sandwich. "You keep asking and I keep telling you, I'm Aura!"
That night, when the fireflies begin to come out, Aura is in the drawing room, well, drawing, surrounded by several pictures she drew that almost look like photos in their realism, and she only has a box of crayons next to her, none of them dull, even as she draws with a brown crayon, it doesnt loose it's sleek sharpness. "Aura? Can you come out to the living room please?" hearing Kamwie's voice, she grabs her newly finished picture and runs out to the living room. "Aura, I want you to meet Azuna, and Nazuna, two dear friends of mine, Azuna and I shall be married soon, and Nazuna and Azuna are sisters."
Azuna has short brown hair and blue eyes, with a purple gown and angel wings, and a coiling silver armlet, she steps forward and smiles, kneeling down so she can shake hands with Aura "Hi there, Aura, are you Kamwie's neice or cousin?" Aura shakes her head "No, he found me unconcious in the road." Azuna blinks and nods. "I see.." she steps back and nudges Nazuna, Nazuna gets the hint and waves nervously, she has long blonde hair and emerald eyes, she wear a red gown and has no actual wings, and she wears a red tiara.
"H-hi, I'm Naz, call me Naz" Aura waves back and hands Azuna the picture "I drew a picture for you two" Azuna looks at the picture in her hand, and Naz leans over to look, Naz gasps and covers her mouth "Azuna, it's us! she drew us looking at this exact same picture!" Kamwie can see where this is going "Aura, I think it's your bedtime" Aura nods and runs off "ok!" Azuna looks to her fiance and taps her foot. "Kamwie, who is that girl?" Kamwie sweatdrops "um, I don't know...well, maybe we should call it a night, I'll explain in the morning."
Kamwie finds himself in a church, and at the altar, he can see Aura's back. "Aura! how did you get here? where are we?" Aura turns around, and a rocky golem figure appears behind her, it looks like she'd been crying, as the golem creature pulls out a red staff and Aura floats up and becomes pinned to it. "Kamwie, thank you for coming, but I'm afraid it's too late, here..." a Book appears infront of Kamwie, he grabs it and looks it over, in silver letters, the title of the book reads "The Twilight" Aura sniffs. "I know how you love books, open it, it can be used for Salvation, or Destruction, depending on the will of the user!"
Aura then screams as she turns into a white light of energy, she disperses into 3 orbs, which solidify into gems, primatic rainbows of jewels, which scatters to the four winds, through the windows. Kamwie can't hold but quiver as Aura dissapears, and he opens the floating book, as a light fills the cathedral, a golden bracelet appears on his arm, the book is nowhere to be found, and the Bracelet glows and fires a beam at the monster. Kamwie then wakes up, realizing it was all a dream, he sighs and looks at his wrist, no bracelet, but there was!
For a moment, the bracelet appeared, but faded, it's invisible! he gets dressed and runs to Aura's room. "AURA!" He stops as he sees she's still in her bed, sweet and safe. "oh thank God...Aura, was that dream real?" Aura wakes up and rubs her eye. "Kamwie? it's 3 in the morning, go to bed..." Kamwie sighs in relieve and leaves, Aura was safe.
In a darker realm, the same from before, the shadowy woman stares at Aura through a mirror. "Soon, my precious, with your powers gone, I shall become supreme, thanks to Skeith, I was able to scatter your powers to the winds, and secure knowledge of the Terrors of Death, Mirror Mirror of them all, who's the greatest of them all?" The Mirror then begins to speak as usual "why don't you see? you and Aura are the same, the removal of the gems is to blame, gain them all, you will win, if Aura does she'll take a spin, all your work shall be undone, Aura can smite you just for fun, Innis's Deciet is working well, the angel boy skill thinks she's well, Innis and Aura, who is who? doesnt matter, they look the same, when the time is right, Innis shall strike, the Bracelet will break, and Innis will take a hike." the woman dismisses the mirror and smirks "heh, the fool doesn't even know that he's in the midst of a monster, Aura's gone!"

Chapter 3: Till the Darkness comes to Sleep
"So tell me more about your dream last night, Kamwie." said Azuna, who had come over because Aura invited her to a tea party, Kamwie takes a sip of the hot water-flavored "tea" from the plastic pink cup. "Well, I was in a church, and Aura gave me a bracelet of some sort, then a monster, killed her or something, I don't know, then the Bracelet destroyed the monster and I woke up, and I had this bracelet!" He holds up his wrist. "Well, it's invisible, but it IS there, I can feel the weight!"
Aura, who has been stirring her tea with a white plastic spoon, leaned forward and grabbed Kamwie's wrist, turning it over as if she found treasure. "That's a wonderful bracelet, Kamwie, wow, it's so beautiful!" Kamwie gasped and pulled his wrist back. "You can see it?" Aura giggled and sipped her tea. "Of course I can, you can see it if you know it's there, besides, if I gave it to you in your dream, then it makes sense I can see it, right?" Kamwie nods, that theory does make sense, so why not, then Azuna quirked a brow. "What are you two talking about? I don't see any bracelet!"
That night, Azuna was entering her house after her date with Kamwie, when she hung her coat and went into the kitchen, she jumped and saw Aura near the table with her hands behind her back, her white hair covering her eyes, but the same smile was on her face. "Hiya, Azuna!" Azuna sighed. "Aura, how'd you get in here, and where's Naz?" Aura giggled. "Naz went on a date with Ryan, remember? she called and said she'd be here late, so she told me to wait here for you."
Azuna sighed. "yea, that makes sense, but I'm home now, you don't have to stay." "alright." Aura made her way out of the kitchen, a door was heard opening and closing, hopefully Aura would be ok in the rain. Azuna then went over to the pantry to get some coffee mix, and when she opened the door, she saw Naz tied up and gagged, struggling to get free. "NAZ! what happened?" she frees Nazuna and Nazuna grabs Azuna's hand. "It was Aura! there's something wrong with her!" Azuna yelps as Aura lunges at her with a knife, she pushes her to the ground and she and Naz run out of the house with Aura after them.
Azuna and Naz rush into Kamwie's house, Kamwie drops the book he was reading and runs to his soaked friends. "What on earth is going on?" Azuna grabs Kamwie's hand and drags him outside and Aura is waiting with the butcher knife. "Aura! She's nuts!" Kamwie nods and turns to Aura, and the Bracelet turns visible as Kamwie shoots it's magical beam at her, Aura is then hit and drops the knife, she falls apart and is revealed to be a costume of some sort, and out of it rises a stone eye of some sort.
Kamwie then fires another beam and the girls take cover, fighting is heard, but they're too scared to look, after a few minutes, Kamwie stands victorious, but he's crying. Azuna goes up and squeezes Kamwie, who says "Aura, someone took Aura, and put this thing to fool us!" he sobs in Azuna's shoulder, and Azuna sobs in his shoulder as well, Naz stands by them, her head hung low.
In the darker realm, the shadowy woman smiles, as instead of being by her mirror, she is by the white bed from the cheery forest, which is now dead and depressing, resting under the sheets, is a girl in white, her eyes closed, but she is translucent, and it becomes obvious that this is the spirit of Aura. the woman smirks and speaks out loud "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the greatest of them all?"
The spirit of the mirror materializes behind the woman and bows. "The one called Aura is trapped in slumber, but still the girl poses a great threat! In deep sleep she lies, but her power resides within another, the one that she's considered her brother, the angel called Kamwie, who weilds the Bracelet, is a threat just as great as the sleeping one, take the bracelet, and then we shall see who has won!" the woman smirks.
"No matter, the powers of Death and Deciet are mine, and I slowly become more human, while the gods were meant to complete the girl, I have corrupted them and made them my monsters whether my Phases live or die, I still win the fight!" she then chuckles, as the scene fades to black.

Chapter 4
Holy Wedding! The Propagation Strikes!
Kamwie waits by the altar of the cathedral wearing all white, nervous, it was a month after the incident with Innis and Aura's dissapearance, and it was also his wedding, he was marrying Azuna, and speak of the devil, she enters wearing her wedding gown. Azuna and the others have given up on finding Aura, but he hasn't. After the wedding and the couple get home, the Bracelet starts to react as another one of the stone monsters rises, Magus!
Kamwie uses the magic of the Bracelet to destroy the monster, but then something unexpected happens, Aura's spirit, or atleast a part of it, descends to the ground, it looks just like her, but it lacks Aura's glow, it's nothing but a fragment of her power. Kamwie runs up to it and is on the edge of crying. "Aura! Aura, are you ok?" Aura opens her eyes and she smiles at Kamwie. "Find my sisters, the other fragments." She then closes her eyes and is absorbed into the Bracelet.
The shadowy woman is looking over the sleeping girl, Aura, who has turned completely black, a smirk curls on the woman's face, but then turns into a snarl as the legs turn white once more. "WHAT?! What's going on!?" The spirit of the Mirror shows an image of Kamwie holding a fragment of Aura. "Easy Come, Easy Go, you can't defeat the natural flow, into the darkness, into the light, no place for Aura is ever quite right, you can do nothing but wait till you die, the Twilight is Aura's destiny, don't lie! a fragment recovered, two more to go, no matter what, it's the natural flow!" The Woman snarls and leaves for the day.

Kamwie uses the magic of the Bracelet to destroy the monster, but then something unexpected happens, Aura's spirit, or atleast a part of it, descends to the ground, it looks just like her, but it lacks Aura's glow, it's nothing but a fragment of her power. Kamwie runs up to it and is on the edge of crying. "Aura! Aura, are you ok?" Aura opens her eyes and she smiles at Kamwie. "Find my sisters, the other fragments." She then closes her eyes and is absorbed into the Bracelet.
The shadowy woman is looking over the sleeping girl, Aura, who has turned completely black, a smirk curls on the woman's face, but then turns into a snarl as the legs turn white once more. "WHAT?! What's going on!?" The spirit of the Mirror shows an image of Kamwie holding a fragment of Aura. "Easy Come, Easy Go, you can't defeat the natural flow, into the darkness, into the light, no place for Aura is ever quite right, you can do nothing but wait till you die, the Twilight is Aura's destiny, don't lie! a fragment recovered, two more to go, no matter what, it's the natural flow!" The Woman snarls and leaves for the day.
