Why screaming?

Hmmm, remember that it IS possible to feel pain inside The World, as we dicussed in an earlier topic, when someone is in one of the strange fields (like the reversed world, or Morganna's domain) they begin to feel strange things, Mimiru and Bear could both feel things physically while they were in the reversed world, something that only Tsukasa had been able to do previously, so Kite may have been able to feel himself get punted halfway across the field when he first met Cubia...

But I'm pretty sure that the Terajima Ryoko dungeon scream was either out of shock, or a preprogrammed scream thing (notice how the characters always grunt when they get hit, I doubt that they are actually doing this, it's probably a sound that just gets played after every hit).

I guess that would also explain why Kite didn't scream when he got hit by Cubia. He probably fell unconcious after that nasty hit.

Yes... he did get thrown through a rock, that can't have felt very good.

It's like the rule of the video life span..... Blades, guns, & magic can only "damage" you, depending on your level of HP. XP
In real life, that would surely give your real nasty body damage.. being thrown into a rock like that.. but of course, every Game character is almost invincible... O.o;; to an extent.

It'd suck to be a monster in a video game, there's no way you can win! Even when you do beat the players they just come back from their last save!

yea you almost feel sorry for the monsters except when they're better than you and they're kickin your butt, it feels nice to pull off that last move to destroy it

I figured that it's just something you'd do. I mean, if you accidentally jumped off a cliff in the game and saw the ground, full of jagged rocks coming up to meet you, wouldn't you scream in fear of your real life, forgetting that it was only a game? The same for getting tossed backwards, if you saw the area suddenly getting smaller and smaller...I would scream.

Yes, the VR system used in The World seems real enough that something like that would seem very very real. Heck, even with today's technology I've still managed to get vertigo and such.
